Bell tent
Liked: Lovely location, with attentive and always available staff, not far from the beach. The premises for shower and bathroom were ok. It was not noted in the website that the toilets were Eco ones which with young kids we would probably avoid. Tent was clean although we found a small puddle in one of the corners of the tent.
Disliked: Showers were only available between certain times in the morning and in the evening. The washing up facility was not always available so we would have to use the kitchen area Gas stove available however the gas needed to be purchased It’s close to the road which you cannot walk along with kids due to the speed and traffic. Leaving the campsite on foot was a bit risky for us.

Liked: Great location, with easy access to local places of interest. The staff were friendly and offered several take away food options.
Disliked: Lack of amenities for the non static campsite. it was a long walk to the toilets and washing up facilities. We thought the toilets were too basic even when you consider the owners attempt to be environmentally friendly. In addition, the two washing up sinks for the whole site was woefully inadequate.

Beware, no real toilets, lack of hot water, grass not mown.

Liked: Lovely location.
Disliked: No real toilets. You literally use a seat over a wheelie bin. They are dirty, open at the top and bottom and 10 yards away from the fixed tents. And they provide you sawdust. No sinks to wash hands. No hot water!! Went 1st weekend of the season, grass was over 6 inches high.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked: Lepe Meadows is a really friendly site. There is lots of flat space to pitch. The site was quiet at night and friendly in the evenings. A perfect combination. We had the stone baked pizzas on the Saturday evening they were tasty and ready on time. Short drive to the beach and lots to do in the area!
Disliked: There was lots to like about the site but there were a few things that we didn’t like. Only set times in the morning and evenings to shower and wash up. We ended up boiling water not the end of the world but not the most convenient. Not being able to freeze your own ice packs. No lights in the toilet cubicles at night - this wasn’t a problem for us but families with young children were struggling a bit with this. The toilets were a bit smelly at the end of the weekend. This may be because it was the end of the season for this site.

Liked: Nice location. Pretty field and close to Lepe beach.
Disliked: Facilities very basic. Hot water for washing up and showers only available during certain hours. Lights in the loo blocks but only by the sinks, not the toilets. On the last evening the gas bottle serving half the showers and ⅔ of the washing up sinks ran out and we were told it wouldn't be replaced as it was the last night.

Liked: Very welcoming staff. Plenty of space. Clean showers and toilets. Washing up facilities. Well organised site with flat pitches. Great for a base for days out. Regular checks for late night noise. Fire pits available.
Disliked: No sockets for phone charging, electrical equipment or hair dryers. Water limited so washing up or showering is limited.
