  • Friendly no-frills Norfolk site at Belton, with spacious grass pitches
  • A 10-minute drive to The Broads, Gorleston beach and the River Yare
  • Dedicated dog walking area; pub and shop within 10 minutes’ walk
Passing through or staying awhile to explore the Broads, beaches and villages of Norfolk? No matter what your plan for a trip to this area, a friendly welcome awaits all comers at Rose Farm Touring Park, on the edge of the village of Belton. This site is simple in style but it's immaculately kept, with thoughtful touches like keeping the pristine toilet and shower facilities heated in winter. Dogs are very welcome to join you on your travels, and there’s a dedicated dog walk in the 'nearly wild' section at the bottom of the park, surrounded by fields and the sounds of nature. There are lots of useful amenities close by too. You can stroll to a welcoming traditional pub (serving a particularly fine afternoon tea) in five minutes, but if you’d rather stick to a self-catering regime, a supermarket for stocking up on essentials is five minutes further on foot. The motto of the site? Visit for a night and you’re very likely to stay longer…

Unpowered grass site

Liked: Lovely campsite, made especially nice by the hot showers and WiFi! Showers/toilets were immaculate and the fact they were heated was a nice touch! WiFi on your pitch was an above and beyond feature. Security barrier was an added bonus. Nice location - walked to the Queens Head for dinner. Dog friendly - our Cocker Spaniel loved it!

Disliked: Not such a fan of going past the permanent park pitches to get to the travelling pitches - can’t imagine the through traffic is great for them either.

Liked: Nice campsite, lots of space and really friendly receptionist. Clean toilets and showers. Close to a pub, a small tescos and bus stop.

Disliked: Long walk to the toilets, and at night there is no lights on the walk! So remember a torch!

From the manager: Thanks for your review Ellie, we hope you'll soon return to Rose Farm (with a torch!) In the summer when the skies are clearer, you will see why we keep it a 'dark site' The stargazing without light pollution is absolutely stunning!

Liked: Nice view from the touring pitches. There are many seasonal pitches but not many were occupied at this time of year. Great shower/toilet block. Underfloor heating and timers for showers nice and long. Free Wi-Fi was excellent and was able to stream video on laptop. Nice welcome and reasonable price. Pub and Tesco Express within 15 min walk.

Local attractions

Looking forward to getting out in some bracing Norfolk air? Gorleston-on-Sea beach (10 minutes’ drive) calls with its sweeping sands and watersports, or you can stop by Great Yarmouth (15 minutes), a traditional seaside resort with mini-trains along the promenade, shows at Yarmouth Hippodrome, a pleasure beach with thrill rides and aquariums at Sea Life. Kids with you? Keep everybody smiling with rollercoaster rides and sea lion shows at Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park (15 minutes), or alternatively wear them all out at BeWILDerwood Norfolk (40 minutes), where you can zipwire through the trees, go on waymarked walks around the marshland and take a boat trip. Other family-centric stops include Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens (25 minutes) for exotic animal spotting, and Redwings Horse Sanctuary (five minutes), where you can cuddle up to more than 100 friendly rescue horses and ponies (it's a particularly great place for kids with special needs). And of course you can all go messing about on boats in The Broads National Park, perhaps hiring a paddleboard for a leisurely potter up the narrow waterways or learning to sail on the River Yare (all 10 minutes away).
