Μου άρεσε: Excellent location. Pitch easy access to lake with lovely view. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good pitch. Facilities closing down at end of season but did manage to hire canoes and get some swims in. Clean and practical toilet block. Well signposted recycling.

Μου άρεσε: Absolutely loved my pitch next to the lake which was beautiful to look at and easy access for swimming. The facilities were very clean and again, easily accessible. The staff were helpful, professional and so nice.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Chère Jennifer Bonjour, Nous vous remercions d'avoir contacté le Camping Lido Verbano et d'avoir choisi de passer vos vacances avec nous. Notre camping dispose de plusieurs types d'emplacements en fonction de la somme que vous êtes prêts à dépenser, mais la différence est très faible. Le premier emplacement à moindre coût est le long séjour qui, contrairement aux autres, est un peu plus éloigné de la plage mais reste confortable et proche des toilettes pour toute éventualité. Un autre type, le bord du lac, est celui qui est le plus demandé par les gens ; il donne sur le lac et a un coût acceptable. Le dernier emplacement est la Spiaggia (plage) qui, contrairement à tous les autres, est située sur la première rangée et offre une vue magnifique. Tous les emplacements sont entourés d'arbres, ce qui permet de bénéficier d'un peu d'ombre pendant la journée. À côté, un bar de plage est idéal pour déguster des en-cas et se détendre avec un verre en plein air. Vous pouvez également vous rendre au restaurant qui propose un service de plats à emporter. Μου άρεσε: Great location at the edge of Lago Maggiore, the kids loved playing in the water. Easy access for day trips to Stresa / Verbania / Milan. Lots of supermarkets and fast food restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Pitch was a nightmare for pegging a tent, not sure if our pitch was normally reserved for motorhomes or caravans, it seemed pitches closer to the waters edge were more rocky.

In the campground there are three types of pitches the standard ones with the lowest cost and then move on to the lake ones the most requested and the beach ones that have the higher cost but with a spectacular view of our Lake Maggiore and directly on the beach. The pitches have different sizes and that is why we try to be as clear as possible when booking by asking the size of your camper. At 10 a.m. every morning our beach bar opens in front of the beach where you can get something to drink and eat or even just a tasty ice cream. Μου άρεσε: There were lots of good things about this site if you are traveling in a motorhome. There’s a couple of supermarkets within easy walking distance. There’s a bus stop outside. A train station about 1.5 kms away (although the walk is along a busy road) which enables to you visit many places on Lake Maggiore and almost anywhere else if you go to Milan first. The pitches overlook the mouth of the Lake. You can swim in the Lake and water sports are available. There are lots of other sports facilities on site including football, volleyball and tennis. There’s free wifi at the pitch which seems to be a rarity in Europe. Hire car is available from Sempion Cars at the entrance to the site. It’s a family run business and they are the best hire car company I have ever dealt with. There’s a great Italian restaurant alongside the site, an indian restaurant (Moghal) with amazingly tasty food a short walk away and a coffee/gelato shop selling a wide selection of excellent Italian bread opposite. Facilities at the site are cleaned twice daily.

Δεν μου άρεσε: It said in the Pitch up description that there’s direct access to walking routes from the site. If there is, nobody seems to know about it. There is a beautiful walk along the River Ticino but you have to walk nearly two kilometers along a busy road with no footpath to get to it. The site gets very busy/noisy on the weekends with lots of local day and weekend visitors. The food at the restaurant is reasonably priced but very small portions and not great quality. The owners could up their game in this area which I’m sure would pay them dividends. The staff were friendly and helpful but not particularly knowledgeable about the local area. Providing an information pack about the local area would be helpful.

There is also a wakeboarding school, which is ideal for people who want to try a different sport at least once in their life, and it is possible to rent sup and kayaks. In addition, on these sunny days we offer the opportunity to grill with our rented grills and spend a carefree and peaceful day. Μου άρεσε: The lake was pretty. But unfortunately the restaurant was shut. I think it would be better peak season. Good park and it was quiet.

Μου άρεσε: die Camping Pizzeria war wirklich vorzüglich und die Bedienungen sehr freundlich. Der Campingplatz liegt schön am Ufer des Lago Maggiore und wird freundlich und sauber geführt. Allerdings war zu unserer Reisezeit wenig los, im Sommmer wird es sicher sehr lebhaft und laut sein- nichts für Ruhesuchende:)

In den Badezimmern gibt es kein Toilettenpapier, da viele Menschen viel Toilettenpapier für die Herstellung des Toilettenblocks verwenden. Fluglärm ist normal, da wir in der Nähe eines Flughafens sind, aber die Flugzeuge passieren nicht jede Minute und auf jeden Fall stören sie 1 Minute lang, wenn sie vorbeifliegen und dann abfliegen. Die Stellplätze sind nicht mit Wasseranschlüssen ausgestattet, aber wenn Sie sich an die Rezeption gewendet hätten, hätten wir sicherlich eine Lösung für Ihre Bedürfnisse gefunden. Wir danken Ihnen weiter, dass Sie bei uns geblieben sind. Wir wünschen Ihnen einen guten Tag Erica, Andrea und das Personal.
