Hazel Brow Farm Campsite

Positiv: First time visiting this camp site but safe to say we’ll be back again! Very peaceful and surrounded by incredible views, the private footpath to the river is an added bonus. We had our two dogs with us so it’s great for venturing off on a walk. The weather wasn’t on our side (can’t be helped!) but it left us having the camp site to ourselves. Toilets are basic but are kept clean. The perfect place to switch off from the world, however there is free WiFi in the visitor centre if it’s needed. Highly recommend this campsite to anyone.

Negativ: Nothing to dislike, if you’re wanting a showering facility then this isn’t the place for you. Didn’t bother us in the slightest.

Positiv: First visit this year , nice to come back and see Cath, Raymond and Martin. Nice to see young Jack helping out too. :) Perfect place to relax and chill out. Lovely riverside walk to Gunnerside where the local pub The Kings Head served up an amazing homemade chicken and leek pie. We will definitely be back to sample more off the menu . New managers very friendly.

Vom Platzbetreiber: So lovely to see you back, it's felt like a long winter! Gunnerside is lovely and just the right distance to 'walk up' an appetite. We're so lucky to have such a great choice of local hostelries. The pictures are great, it's good to see the place from your eyes.

Positiv: Wild camp feel, clean toilets ect. Use of a fire pit. Beautiful views. Really enjoyed this spot 👍

Negativ: We stayed for 2 days, we brought equipment to be able to wash are selves but a shower would have been beautiful. The only thing that could be said is negative about the place.

Positiv: Lovely quiet tucked away site. Stunning scenery and nice simple ‘old style ‘ camping facilities. Also met another lovely young family stand on the field. Highly recommended if you want off grid and peaceful.

Negativ: Nothing. For me it was perfect!

Negativ: Shame there is no shower . Washing up sink not very big .hard standing area not good better off in field if you have a camper with a awning

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sorry we still don't have a shower, planning permission has just been turned down but we won't give up trying! I think you were maybe washing up in the hand wash sink? Yes, hard standing isn't much good for awnings, thanks for pointing this out, although the area is handy for the wifi and the loos! . Positiv: What a lovely site. Setting is as picturesque as they come. We had a lovely, warm welcome from the owner. Toilets are basic but kept very clean. The kids loved the menagerie of animals as well finding all the little bugs and creatures hidden across the site. No light pollution and the only noises at night were from the wildlife and farm animals around - perfect mix.

Positiv: A lovely campsite with amazing views! Great facilities and very friendly owners. Seeing the lambs and alpacas was an added bonus!

Negativ: No showers but this is stated when booking. Only thing missing but great if you can do without.

Positiv: The stunning views, incredibly friendly hosts, great soft but well drained soil, really flat field, amazingly kitted out for kids with nature trails, bug hunts, animals to feed.
