Em va agradar: A very nice place to pitch up for a couple of days. Run by a delightful couple. Mike was very understanding and quickly restored power after I blew the electrical trip (hot chocolate in the plugboard!). The facilities were a little dated, but everything worked and was extremely well looked after. Round the back of the shower block was a lovely little kitchen and with hobs, microwave etc. Nice place to hang out if the weather was inclement! We had bikes and had a couple of good rides - out to the bay (for lunch) on the back road and to see the rhododendrons plus a ride up to the local pass (with super views)
No em va agradar: Nothing - would have given 5 stars for service, but some may find the site dated... whereas I called it charm :) Worth a visit - see for your self!

Em va agradar: Well equipped kitchen, hot water in taps, stunning view. Outstanding owners that took care of our ask to pay attention to some other noisy campers in the pitch as they weren't respecting silent hours past 11 pm, owners had a chat with loud crowd.
No em va agradar: Nothing all was good, apart noisy people 😅

My husband went down to them twice and threatened them that they would have to leave but to no avail so they are not coming here again no way. She people just have no respect for others.. Hope to see ye again in a quieter time.

Em va agradar: The stunning scenery and fabulous location. Friendly and accommodating people. We changed our booking arrangements 3 times and Mary was very understanding and relaxed about it.
No em va agradar: The loose dogs roaming freely were a bit of a worry with my own dog. It was very very dark on arrival late at night, but I can understand that they don’t want light pollution in such a beautiful location.

Del gerent: Thank you for your review and re the dogs. They are farm dogs and no one around here keeps farm dogs locked up as it is not the correct way to treat them. We share our home with the campers and have spots away from the dwelling house where people can camp and be by themselves. You arrived at 10.30 at night when everyone was in bed so there was no need for lots of lights on as we are in war time and have to conserve energy. You were gone at 10.30 in the morning so it was a flying visit. I did my best to accommodate you and changed the booking so I did my best as I do for everyone .
Location superb and owner very nice too…

Em va agradar: Great wee site, good WiFi. A very scenic route up the Healy Pass to get to it. Went to Helen's Bar for food excellent. The sanitary block was basic but clean.
No em va agradar: The shower was adequate.

Em va agradar: Pitches were spaced perfectly and you had some privacy, shower facilities were amazing, super clean!
No em va agradar: No plugs in the bathroom to use hairdryer etc not a deal breaker but would be nice!
