No em va agradar: Shower blocks and toilet is key controlled which we weren’t made aware of. As we were arriving late we could not shower that night. There is minimal Facilites and if it was peak season I’d imagine it would be carnage. The camping area is also on a hill so leaves little space for lots of tents. Not clean at all either. As a couple who had been travelling in the car and looking for a place to refresh it wasn’t up to spec

Del gerent: Good Morning Mr Murray, The showers are locked and do require a key as per the terms and conditions of your booking. This was expressed to you both over the phone and stated on our website. I apologise if this was not made clear on the day of your arrival. Our facilities are posted online and we try our best to make our guests aware of what we provide prior to their booking. Our site is targeted at those who enjoy the quiet times in a picturesque location and are usually pleased of what we have to offer. Some of our camping area has a slight slope this is why we advise guests that they are more then welcome to pitch their tent up where they desire. We apologise if we did not meet your expectations during your stay as such our management team preform regular reviews and will be sure to note your concerns down. We hope you had a safe journey home.

Em va agradar: Clean showers, toilets, peaceful campsite, plenty of parking. We had a wonderful time and will be back next year.

Em va agradar: Overall we very please with everything the campsite had to offer the staff were very helpful and even provided a electric cable as the the standard one we had wasn’t comparable with there as it uses a standard plug with connects onto the barn

No em va agradar: Wi-Fi information wasn’t provided as we found out later you had to pay for it we just feel that could have been added to the welcome pack which was great when pointing out all the essential information including where to eat. The only other small issue was we felt like the toilets could have been cleaned a little more frequently as there was a mop and bucket in each of the toilets including shower blocks but they had dirty water in them

Em va agradar: It was a lovely peaceful picturesque site. Showers were excellent. The restaurant on site was superb and really welcoming . Very handy that it was walking distance to the bus stop so easy to get in to Newquay. Would definitely return.

Em va agradar: We liked the fact you can camp anywhere you like and the campsite was so quiet! Not sure why this was as its a good site! There is a great gastro pub on site, its quite pricey but food is by a well known celebrity chef so stands to reason. We ate there and it was incredible food - such a treat to have on the campsite. Showers were good. You can make your own fires.

Del gerent: Thank you for the review. The reason it was quiet during your period of stay was because it was after Board-masters and things tend to quieten down. Unfortunately, we did have an issue with the top block showers during your stay. However, the wc’s were usable and the bottom shower/wc block was in fully working order.

Em va agradar: Really nice campsite, we come back every year as we love how peaceful it is. Really easy to access and the facilities that were working were clean and never busy. Will be coming back next year!

No em va agradar: Showers near the campsite area were out of order so needed to walk to the far showers but not really far at all.

No em va agradar: Not enough ehu pitches had to have a pitch without ehu

Del gerent: Thank you for your review. We are glad that you were happy with the facilities. With regards to the EHU ‘s (Electric Hook-ups). You choose a non-electric grass campervan or trailer tent pitch, yourself. There is complimentary charging points and hairdryer sockets on site.

Em va agradar: The quiet, rural location, the space and the simplicity of the site. Friendly welcome.

No em va agradar: The only toilets were those with showers, which were always busy, as there were only 4 open on our side of the campsite. This really wasn't sufficient for the number of campers and we were often waiting to use toilets. It would make sense to have some toilet-only cubicles open. The site was incredibly windy but this was probably bad timing with the weather.

Del gerent: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your review. The 4 doors on the back section of the top shower/wc block are storage. There is WC only units, in the alternative block. With regards to the wind unfortunately we are unable to predict the weather conditions.

Del gerent: Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We are located roughly 14 minutes from the centre of Newquay, as you can appreciate you came to visit during mid-summer holidays, and this would have impacted on your journey time.

No em va agradar: 1 night stay. Forgot the tent. Reception staff advised I'd have to pay £15 administration charge and £10 to sleep in my ford connect van. Which was going to be parked alongside the tent anyway. However when I laughed and said I forgot the tent and would have to sleep in the van they declined and said I had to pay extra £25

Del gerent: On your day of arrival, you came to book in at the reception, and explained that you had not been able to find your tent and that you would need to stay in your Van. This was not a problem, whatsoever. However, as we explained the booking that “you” had made, would now need to be amended to a NE (non-electric), because you would have needed to be in the top-field to accommodate your van. It is clearly stated on your booking information that any amendments incur a £15 admin fee. You said that you were not happy with this and the words you used were “stick it” After being verbally abusive to us, you then walked out of reception. Despite your rudeness, we did not cancel your booking we left it open, for the rest of the day, on the assumption that you might have calmed down and changed your mind about staying.
