Em va agradar: I loved everything about my 2 night stay. Michael was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and gave me some tips on what birds I could see and where to look and the woodlands were beautiful and peaceful, the pitch was level and perfect. No phone service which was a blessing as it gave me the chance to really disconnect for a while. I would have happily stay for longer. Really looking forward to booking another stay.

Em va agradar: This was a wonderful visit to a magical wood. We were allowed to pitch out tent in a beautiful thicket of mature and young trees so the forest canopy was over us. It is the most perfect way to get away from the city, surrounded by the trees with the air full of birdsong all day. Michael, the forester was there to help if we needed him and provided firewood. He is very about the forest and the animal habitats. The forest in managed sustainably and bird life is encouraged and fostered. The pease and tranquility was wonderful. This place is a tonic for the soul.

Em va agradar: The peace and wilderness of this camping. Michael is a great tree surgeon and takes care of the land properly. It’s the second time we go and always have a real nourishing time of disconnection from city life and connection to nature.

Em va agradar: It is a quiet secluded woods, and if you are seeking back to basics, this is it. No water on site, but available with wood and eggs to buy when we arrived, and very good they were too. Fire pits are provided and easy to cook on. Facilities are basic with just one composting toilet and one latrine, but basic is what we wanted. Close to Derring Woods, and Pluckley for those seeking Ghosts, but all we found was lots of owls and squirrels to keep us company at night. Michael is very friendly, and had everything we asked for waiting when we arrived. If you are looking for a wild camping experience, this fits the bill.

Em va agradar: Everything! Exactly as described and expected. Beautiful pitches and site, properly private and off the beaten track. So obvious and refreshing that the natural habitat is prioritised over human convenience. Many thanks to Micheal for being a welcoming but unobtrusive host, and for the work he does maintaining the area. Don't forget your binoculars for bird watching as the sun comes up!
