  • Spacious site a short drive from Eryri/Snowdonia National Park
  • Within easy reach of beaches, watersports and a mountain railway
  • Barbecues welcome and several supermarkets within easy reach
Seeking a sojourn within easy reach of the smashingly spectacular Eryri/Snowdonia National Park? Close to several splendid beaches and within easy reach by car or bike from several towns for foodie spots and cosy pubs? Treborth Hall Farm Caravan Site should, then, tick off a fair few of your Welsh holiday boxes. This peaceful walled park is a 20-minute walk from the Anglesey Isle town of Menai Bridge, home to several traditional pubs and other eateries for off-site sips and scoffs. You can be in Bangor on your bike in 15 minutes too, or hop in the car and be there in less than 10; highly beau Beaumaris is bikeable too – reach it in a little over half an hour on two wheels, or be there in half the time on four. When it comes to stuff for kids to do, they’ve got reams of room to roam freely around, plus a play area too should they require fun structures to clamber on; for a spot of gentle grownup activity, there's a public footpath just outside that forms a loop connecting to the Wales Coast Path, which in turn provides access to Treborth Botanic Garden. For food on site you’re more than welcome to get a barbecue going – several supermarkets are within easy reach around the nearby towns for all your sizzling supplies, and there are also lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways too. Among the on-site amenities are toilets and two shower blocks with coin-operated showers with plenty of piping-hot water.

Liked: The seasonal pitches.which are completely separate to the touring pitches, I cannot fault. We stayed in this enclosure for our 2nd night.

Disliked: Every last thing. Toilets very old in need of replacing. Chemical waste, percolation area with man hole cover, l& wash up area all together side by side with no screening. Unhygienic to say the least. Even though we booked our site, knowing it was a grass pitch,we were placed next to this area. Weather was very wet for awhile which made the sites very muddy. People found it difficult to vacate their site and some had to be pushed by campers. A little gravel on these pitches would have helped greatly Pitches were very tight . It was also extremely expensive at 45.00 euro per night. The most we paid for any campsite in our 2 week stay.

Liked: Location, surroundings, helpful staff

Disliked: Dirty facilities (cold water toilets), washing up sink areas had no roof (appears they broke some time ago and haven't been replaced so sink areas were full of debris and dirt plus no shelter from the weather!), no patch assigned on arrival despite having booked, pitches too shallow for caravans so caravan was sticking out into the road, pitches too close together which made leaving site difficult especially off a grass pitch in mud after heavy rain, no sign to say where drinking water tap was, no sign to indicate when snack bar was open. Pitch was sloping in 2 directions as well which made it more awkward.

Liked: The area

Disliked: Arrived for what we thought following pictures on pitch up was a beautiful campsite could not be more wrong. Pitches crammed in we were on a track and felt like a carpark. We had a sunshade awning once that was up no where to leave your car and might as well of been in the next door caravan. Next the facilities toilets disgusting whilst using I got wet from rain dropping on my head, no hot water either so how do they clean it. flush did not work filthy and no toilet roll owner stated he could clean toilet as he was a man 🤣. The washing up area was situated next to the Elsen point (if you could call it that) with the drinking water not hygienic No roof on this area some sort of erected wood structure. On departure we found ourselves stuck due to cramped conditions and mud we had help fellow campers push each other out. Owners not seen all weekend apart from when I asked for toilet roll. The price of £45 a night you would expect clean facilities hot water and some space. DO NOT GO THERE BANK HOLIDAY RUINED

Liked: The area but not this campsite

Disliked: We stayed on grass hook up so out of the walled area which looked as cramped as what we had to experience. I have never been so disappointed in such a pitch. Fire safety comes to mind the pitches far too small for the vans. One vans tow hitch was out in to the road so a cone was placed around it so we did not hit it. Meaning we had to drive on the grass on a wet bank holiday causing a muddy mess. We were almost on top of each other. In fact you could step out of the awning ( which is not a full awning just a sun shade l doubt you would have got a full awning up) into your car if you could open the door! Or you could be dead nosey and look into your neighbours van tent ! On leaving it became a nightmare to get out everyone had to wait for each other to leave and one camper van had to be pushed out no help from the owners probably to busy counting profits. The toilets if you had to use them were disgusting no proper flush, not cleaned no toilet roll uck !! Felt sorry for the tent users. The Elsen point if you can call it that was surely a health risk. Drinking water tap was approx about a foot away from it ! In fact l questioned my partner if he was using the right tap. On the other side the washing up sinks cold water leaking drains. All this for a greedy cost for Bank holiday of £45 a night.

Powered grass site

Liked: The site has a courtyard wall, inside that was family orientated, with big caravans and a play area in the middle. Outside of the courtyard were the touring spaces. Some with electric hook-up, then there were fields, trees & countryside. That was perfect for me. Facilities were clean & staff were friendly. The location is handy for Bangor university, Anglesey etc.

Local attractions

With the edge of the spectacular Eryri/Snowdonia National Park a short drive away, there’s lots of outdoorsy stuff around, including hikes and cycles among the mountains, explores of the beaches that fringe the smashing Anglesey isle, wildlife watching, or investigating centuries' worth of Welsh history at nearby castles, museums and mines. For water-based frolics there’s the Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre for windsurfing, powerboating, sea kayaking and dinghy sailing, less than 10 minutes’ drive away, or instead head to the spectacular sands of Newborough beach for pleasant sandside days; from the main car park are lots of splendid walks through woodlands and over dunes, where you’re oft likely to spot wild horses and cows. For a lofty adventure by rail, you can head for a jaunt on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which takes passengers along a highly scenic five-mile trip from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon. Also in the locale are several beaut medieval castles at Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Conwy, as well as National Trust properties of Plas Newydd House and Gardens, Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant Garden. Other possible day trips include Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (15 minutes) and Adventure Parc Snowdonia (35 minutes).
