Friendly and hospitable staff, great indian food

Location, food at the restaurant tho my husband had to fetch a pizza afterwards as he was still hungry.

Everything else. No running hot water to wash ourselves or our pots. Electric showers were ok. I can forgive tired facilities if they’re clean which they weren’t. The toilets/sinks are part of the restaurant so standing there in my pyjamas having an early evening wash with smart diners was a bit uncomfortable. The restaurant and campsite need TLC to make it a pleasant place to stay. I doubt if any of the owners even stepped outside to see how unpleasant it looks. They didn’t seem to care that campervans were getting stuck on the boggy field. Dead plants in containers is not a welcome sight. “The country pub” it is not, and the campsite seems more a burden to them than anything else. Shame because it has such huge potential given it’s location.

we loved the indian cuisine in the pub - delicious and so convenient to walk back to your pitch next door. Inclusive electric.

The wash up area was a very basic construction and was not clean. The pitches were stated as hard standing but basically were two parrallel concrete strips which were not level. The wifi didnt stretch on the campsite . Electric was included but felt expensive for such a basic level site

Good selection of beers in the pub but patience is needed when waiting to be served as the bar staff are on the telephone a lot taking take-away orders for the kitchen - which I can understand since the kitchen produces excellent curries which were delicious. Our meal in the restaurant was very good.

The location is very good for walking in the Malvern Hills

The pitch numbering system is very confusing - why they can't have just sequential numbering system is beyond me - led to a lot of mistakes and queries about parking up. The grass areas were quite muddy. The facilities are basic - but you should expect locks on shower doors and toilet cubicles which in fact were missing or broken. A sad lack of basic maintenance.

We selected the Marlbank as it's an easy destination for our family to travel to
and easy walking distance of the Malvern Hills.
Traveling in a campervan we need to be on a bus route or easy walking distance for local attractions and days out.
We walked up to British Camp and down into the village and around out to the Common.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant which was exceptional.

From our point of view the site could make some quite simple improvements which would have a great impact.
There was no hot water in the wash up area and the wifi was off more often than on.
The hard standings were a couple of paving slabs for the van wheels to sit on only so we still had muddy boots.
We couldn't find a drain to empty our grey water and had to top up our water tank by hand.
Nothing major but in combination it all added up especially when you compare the price and facilities offered elsewhere

Location

Site was unkempt. Long grass, boggy ground with many vehicles needing to be pushed out by other campers! Basic facilities shared with pub, again not well looked after. Door on one shower was so swollen you could barely close it, let alone lock it.

Very muddy grass pitches, however, the booking email does say you could use the car park if the pitch is muddy.

Small, quiet site right next to the pub itself where the beer, wine and especially the food, were excellent.

Excellent site for the odd night & great value. The meals in the pub were authentic and very tasty. Site and all facilities clean, friendly and accommodating staff.

No running hot water in toilets and washing up area.
Site becomes boggy very quickly when wet and ment we didn’t venture off other by on foot.

Not a lot to like

No one around to check you in. Had to just pitch up. Never saw the owners for more than 1 minute during our stay. Only hot water was the shower
