1 Location near the Malvern Hills is great – easy to access the walks.
2 Site is nice and small and quiet (on a Monday anyway!), good for a rest after long days hiking.
3 Reasonably priced.
4 Flat pitches.
5 Good fish and chips available in town nearby.
6 Nice little area to chuck a frisbee or play Kubb in the middle of the site

1 No one available to meet us, which is fine, but there's a slightly aggressive sign warning not to use the wrong pitch, but no way of knowing what is the right pitch – the sign said we'd been advised in our confirmation email, but we hadn't. Another group of campers arrived at same time as us and had same problem. Not a very big deal, but when the whole point of the camp site was for us to relax after a long day's hiking in the hills, we just wanted to put up the tent and rest! No one answered the landline given on the sign. Eventually we found a mobile number posted elsewhere on the site, but by then we'd just taken our chances and pitched, same as our neighbours with same problem. No one ever came along to check! This gave the whole stay a slightly inhospitable feel, which is a shame.
2 Wash room / loo facilities on the tired side. They're just the same facilities as used for the pub, which felt a little exposing! Just about did the job, have experienced worse and better (decided against a shower though). Water was cold for all washing and washing up.
3 Pub was closed (closed on a Monday). As the campsite is part of the pub, that was a shame as we'd hoped to get our dinner there and a nice draught beer. Wish we'd known ahead of time; nothing mentioned on the pitchup info we received. (Plus side – probably meant much quieter night, as you're camping right next to the beer garden, so if it had been lively, it would have been noisy. Don't think that would matter as long as you know what you're getting.) If we'd booked direct with pub they might have provided more info on this.
4 Completely surrounded by tall trees, so no views of anything in particular. (Didn't matter as we'd had amazing views all day!) Lost the sun completely by about 7pm late May.

Level pitch

Difficult to find and access water standpipe, yes it's advertised as being in the hedgerow, but it's seriously overgrown. Also if a vehicle or tent was pitched in front of the hedgerow, you would not be able to access the standpipe.
Very basic washing-up area, not a problem for us as we are self contained.
Very dated, unkempt women's toilets.
Mens toilets, 1door had no lock, husband related that the 'foot lock' had to be deployed. The other door had a very insubstantial piece of string to pull the door open.
Showers , I wasn't brave enough so I sent the husband. Broken, cracked tiles, rawlplugs sticking out of the wall. Only a stool in the corner to put your clothes on. Unfortunately no shower curtain, so clothes got wet. Condensation mould on the ceiling. Cobwebs, but I don't judge negatively on these as I am capable of cultivating them myself.
Landlord was a bit surly but, as the only conversation I personally had with him was about our dog I maybe biased. I was told the previous owner had a GSD and that she always barked at him. Loudly. For a very long time.Maybe the previous dog had an inner sixth sense?? Husband and myself thought about this and decided not to chance our luck in the dusty, dated pub or beer garden. We love our dog too much put his health at risk.
Avoid at all costs if you dislike loud music being played in a beer garden for approximately 8 hours. Straight.
Very poor dog walking in the area. Technically not the owners fault, but may be a consideration if you want/need to exercise your pooch. No dog pooh bin on site, I felt robbed as we paid extra to take our four legged member of the family with us.
Amazed that the only path we found to walk, a designated right of way, was found to be locked until mid morning.
Not what we expected for £72 for 2 nights

Contact-free check in. Scenery in the local area lovely. Toilets and showers mostly clean. Dominos deliver here (although they take ages).

Felt a bit squashed in with other pitches. Toilets ran out of toilet roll by the end of the day. Also a cubicle in the men's had a broken lock so I fixed it myself with a tent peg. No enforcement of 11pm curfew so the site was noisy on the first night until around 1am. BBQs had to be raised off the ground but no bricks/slabs available anywhere unlike at other sites. Nowhere to freeze ice packs so had to keep buying bags of ice.

Quiet site, good showers and toilets . Good information on notice board about local facilities and food delivery places. Relaxed approach to dogs, (not too strict)

No hot water in the washing up area. A tad high price considering the condition of the facilities, I feel more in the £20s in comparison to other sites

Nice pitches and location was great.

No hot water for washing up, no hot water in the toilets including the disabled toilet where it’s required for changing my stoma bag. Would have been a quiet location but for the strimming behind the pub.
