This was our first time camping trip and all the guides said check your equipment and home first but we thought have a “2” day trip locally and see how it goes. All the equipment was fine and the venue perfect! Great local pub, nice pitch. Met nice people. Nothing to complain about. Showers and toilets fine.

People at the Inn were nice, booking was perfect - they let us stay on a grass pitch with our campervan which was nice.
And we received two emails in advance due to the bad weather forecast, warning that we might get stuck on the grass, advising what might be done to prevent that - that was actually really nice

It's small and easy to access.

It says on this page that each tent requires a separate pitch, so we booked 2 pitches for 2 tents. They assignees us g2 and g3. G2 is 1/3 in size compared to the rest of the pitches, on a slope with nettles and holes in the ground. It's impossible to erect a tent and sleep in it, not even talking about having a car next to it. If they assign you g2 ask for your money back it's a laugh and not equipped to have a tent there. Moreover, our neighbours had 1 camper van, 2 tents and 2 cars parked on their (single) pitch. Clearly the rules don't apply to all! Toilets would benefit from cleaning and stacking of toilet paper. It wasn't restacked for more than 12hours. I also question the safety of the hair dryer. Don't think it has passed any safety regs since 1980s.

Small campsite in a quiet location, has a nice pub/restaurant on site. Decent sized shower with plenty of hot water.

Sink in the washing up area was blocked.

Good facilities and the food at the Marlbank pub was fantastic.

Great little camp site, not very clearly marked out pitches but helpful staff in pub to sort. Wonderful hot powerful shower. The absolute gem here though is the restaurant in the pub ...fabulous curry, it's a must. Would even stay again just to eat here

Lovely pub, superb meal, but not cheap. Showers lovely & hot. Made to feel very welcomed.

Grounds could do with a little T L C. Showers although hot could do with some upkeep.
