I got an email the day before we were due to arrive, telling me our camping pitch was in the car park next to the road ! Even though I had paid for a pitch. When we arrived at Marlbank, the self booking in system didn’t work. I rang the phone numbers provided, no answer. After knocking on pub doors, eventually a man came to a window and told me to go anywhere I wanted in the camp site as it was empty, so we did. Only one of the two showers worked and it was filthy, had broken tiles, the ceiling was peeling and mouldy no anti slip mat and lights weren’t working properly. Ladies toilets were dirty, a bag of rubbish which was on the floor when we arrived on Monday was still there when we left on Wednesday. Hairdryer was broken. One of the toilet seats were broken. Outside there was broken timber lying around the whole building was dilapidated, in need of cleaning and repairs. The pub was closed all the time we were there and appeared uninhabited. I would not recommend this place nor will I go there again.
