Very well-kept site. Loved having a water tap on the pitch, so much easier than having to drive to a water point and filling up, I usually stay at caravan club sites and this easily matched the standard there. Only having a camper van with limited onboard facilities, I found the the newish toilet/shower facilities and washing up lodge to be excellent. I'd possibly encourage the site owners to add in the future a separate toilet lodge as it may be a bonus when the site is fuller.
The wifi worked without any problems during my stay.
To be honest I found the aircraft coming over quite interesting, and wasn't at all disturbed by them in the night. I actually found the site to be really peaceful. The occasional peacock calling from a farm on the hill, and nothing from the kennels mentioned in someone else's review. The Alpacas also seemed pretty chilled, and added to the experience here.
The site is about 15-20 walk from East Leake, perfect for an evening stroll to the village pub!

Noise from aeroplanes. Directly under East Midlands Airport landing air strip.

Location, surroundings, views, shower facilities were superb. A bit taken back with the ‘greeting’ on turning up but that was the one and only time I saw that person tbh. Having a fully serviced pitch BBC was spot on but it was a fair walk to empty your cassette and take rubbish but they were minor really. As a start point for travelling around a 20-25 mile radius it’s great but beware the flightpath. Locally shops were more than enough. Good ‘chippy’ and a handy selection of shops. Recommend The 3 Horseshoes for food and drink for sure and the are others options but going through refurb while we were there.

Flightpath which we were aware of created excess noise but not expecting it to be as low (1000ft) as they were and as it’s a cargo terminal flights DO go through the night which spoilt what could have been a great spot. If I’m honest, as a daytime ‘relax’ if your are in to aviation then it’s a perfect spot…you could feasibly wave at pilots 😂 However the night timetable spoilt the overall stay.

Very well maintained and facilities are excellent. Good location close to East Leake village for amenities, shopping, pubs etc.
Alpacas were an added attraction, though they looked pretty fed up after being recently shorn 😆
WiFi all round was a bonus as was the water tap at every pitch.

Due to the already reported aircraft noise through the night, and also the seemingly constant barking from nearby kennels, I won’t be returning; which is a real shame as this is otherwise a brilliant site.
Probably more peaceful in the lodges or for caravans, but if you’re taking a tent, recommend earplugs too…

Beautiful scenery, lovely alpacas, showers immaculate and toilets.

Nothing to dislike

The facilities were nice and clean. It was lovely to be able to walk over and see the horses and alpacas. The site is close to the local village which has all the stores you would need.

Sadly we didn’t realise it was under the flight path to East Midlands airport. Having said this, after a while we didn’t really notice it too much. Between 12midnight and 5am it was quieter. We actually found the peacock that was in a near by field more annoying
