Friendly helpful hosts who were easy to contact (someone onsite to), lovely views, big pitches, good electric hook up, laid back atmosphere. Yes the facilities are basic but there's clean toilets, showers and a place to wash up, with the bonus of electric hook up. Tesco, Aldi, Asda, home bargains and B&M all a short drive away, plus Skipton about 40min drive with an abundance of shops (loads of charity shops if you like a bargain) and cafes/restaurants. We would definitely go back. Do be prepared with wellies or similar as you are camping in a field and a torch for the evening walk to the loos.

First time camping here, it was absolutely beautiful. We camped right on the river and the view was amazing.

Lovely site, lovely staff who made us feel so welcome. Good toilet and shower facilities which were very clean.

The field where we pitched our tent seemed to have far too much sheep poo. This is the only spoiler to our stay. Plus grass could of had a cut.

Facilities in back field could be modernised and scaled up.

Loved the scenery , right by the Riverside.
The lady who run it was lovely and very helpful, she even kept some good in the fridge for me and froze my ice packs.

Sheep poo everywhere and I mean everywhere.
The showers there is only 2 and 1 was covered on the floor with thousands of dead midges so couldn't use that one, there is no room to change in shower cubicle so u have to go in the toilet next door to change where there isn't much room either.
The washing up area was filthy and everything was full of dead midges so had nowhere to put clean dishes once I'd washed them, the site is only open on Friday and Saturday and it was filthy on the Friday when we arrived , you would think they would clean it before people arrive when they open.
I would stay again if it was cleaner in the facilities with a changing room after shower.

Lovely location at side of rivers. Plenty space between pitches. Friendly and helpful owners/staff.

Lovely views. Cheerful, helpful staff. Spacious site. Good location for things to do.

Toilet/shower facilities. Not enough for the size of the site & number of campers. That said, not an issue for a short stay &/or if you weren't too bothered about what time you got out & about.

Spacious pitches, lovely views, right on the river, campfires allowed.
