Plus, from this spot within walking distance of centuries-old architecture and the colourful costumes of Antigua’s streets, you’ll be well placed to take in the city’s historic sights.

If you’re ready and raring to get out, the site runs activities such as a walking tour of the city, a visit to the local market or tours of local textile and coffee plantations. You can also sign up for a hike up the volcanoes Acatenango (an hour’s drive) or Pacaya (an hour and 20 minutes).

Take the pace down a notch if you wish, and unwind on site. Whether it’s kicking back in a hammock in the pergola garden, dancing to salsa at sunset in the on-site bar or doing a lap or two of the outdoor swimming pool, there are plenty of friendly spots around the site. And if you have work to get on with, catch up with any projects in the co-working space or head to the lounge to curl up with a book.

As the day unwinds, choose from a menu of indigenous and contemporary Guatemalan recipes at the on-site restaurant – meals here are made with locally sourced produce so it's easy to sample the local cuisine.
