Fontmills Farm Campsite

喜欢: This place is amazing. They are so friendly and helpful, there's a little shop to get essentials you may have forgotten (or mashmellows for the fire). The toilets, showers and kitchen spaces are clean and the showers were constantly warm. You're allowed fires and unless you ask for anything you're left to your own devices. You can drive down to your pitch to unload and set up and the parking isn't too far away either. We loved this place and will be back. I have just seen a rating for WiFi but we had our phones off so not sure if they offer it or not.

喜欢: Fontmills Farm is a really great camp site in a pleasant and quiet location. Good for walks and cycling. The owners Steve & Nicola are welcoming, friendly and accommodating to any requests. The facilities (toilets and showers) are well maintained & clean, the main wash-up area has a couple of very useful freezers for your ice-packs & there are electric sockets for re-charging your phones & tablets. Pitches are wide too so there's plenty of space to spread out.

喜欢: Super location with the loveliest of owners who genuinely care about their guests. Site was spacious and very clean with good facilities and plenty of them even when busy. Plenty of hot water in showers etc. Thoughtful added touches such as the freezers for ice blocks, communal plug for charging phone, fire pits and lots of useful information. I felt very safe here as a single female camper, even on the one night I was the only one staying. Had some super walks and cycle rides right from doorstep and beyond. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when next in area. Thank you Nicola and Steve x

喜欢: This was our second stay and we had planned to return in 2023 after staying just a couple of nights in August 2022. The site is run by a genuinely friendly and welcoming family who always go the extra mile to make sure their gusts are having the best time. The site is very roomy with plenty of space between pitches and space for children ( of all ages ) to enjoy themselves. It is right next to the Cuckoo Trail which is a wonderful paved track following the route of a closed steam railway. You can walk or cycle on this and we even met a local using it on his mobility scooter. The location is great too. Right in the middle of a wide range of locations, though the site itself is very quiet due to it being located away from the road, accessed via a well maintained private farm road. The facilities are good, very well maintained and clean. Hot showers, toilets, drinking water supply ( all the water onsite is drinkable), freezers for chilling cold packs, washing up areas and sockets to charge phones. Fire pits, logs and fire starter kits are all available, and there are several picnic tables/seats around the site. We had a peek at the glamping tents and they look fantastic. Maybe next time....
