This was our second visit to this campsite . It is now our most favourite place to camp when visiting the lakes.

Our daughter loves the stream that runs along side, the campsite is flat, busy enough but quiet at night are still plenty of room for the kids to kick a football around. minutes walk from a pub with views to die for. the most lovely walk to Derwent water without it being too much for little legs including a walk through the forest.

Stunning views of catbells to one side and a forest to the other.
The campsite has an ice-cream truck that visits at tea time and the family that run the site couldn't do enough to help you with whatever you need.

Views, friendly & helpful people running the site, quiet a well managed campsite. Showers okay (depending on the time of day you used them, when my 16YO daughter went later in the day she said it was full of bugs.)

Toilets are portaloo toilets (albeit fancy ones) which were okay night one but the second night I think the solution was changed and the smell was so bad that it was hard breathe in.

Great campsite in a perfect location!
Phone signal which was a massive plus for my teenager!
Lovely, clean river runs along left side of field as you enter.
Good base for a hike up cat bells or 20 min walk down to the lake.
Clean, modern toilets and the shower block looked good although we didn't use.
Dogs and campfires allowed; hire there or bring your own.
The pub at the top of the lane isn't open until July so we will definitely be back then as it looks like a lovely place!

Easy going, essential facilities all good, great river running beside campsite.

A bit muddy!

Fabulous location, friendly owners, great access to Cat Bells and a short drive to Keswick and Derwent water for lovely walks and access to the lake. The river near by was great for paddling and a relaxing way to spend the evening. The campsite is picturesque!

Toilets/showers/washing facilities were unpleasant and not sufficient for the number of people on site
Late night noise/music till 1pm+ made it difficult to relax and get the children to sleep.
Police visits on site, perhaps this was for our safety but it was a little unusual and unexpected.

The toilets was well maintained and the shower was great. Worth every penny.

It was raining so the pitch was drenched but nothing to much.
