Lovely camping area, camping pods were clean and warm. Excellent facilities

A lot of care has gone into preparation of the site and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Showers and toilets were clean and modern. The shop was reasonably priced and kept all of the essentials you might need, including fresh eggs. The little common room cabin was a nice touch, especially when it rained. Owners were very personable and understanding. A great chill stay with incredible views.

There was a paramotorist camping on the site that flew between 8pm and 9pm a couple of nights, which was quite noisy, but I imagine not a common occurrence. Our 3 year old loved the action and the unique experience, but it may have bothered other people.

I got quite a few bites from either mosquitos or midgy flies whilst camping in the Lake District. It might be worth taking something like deet! The ground seemed to remain damp for quite a long time after the rain, which may be a factor.

Great view of Blencathra. Tidy well organised site. Clean bathroom facilities with perfect unfluctuating shower temp. Friendly relaxed owners. Useful community area, kitchen electronics and sinks, again hot water! Easy access to the A66, Keswick and Lake district adventures on the edge of your tent zip. I actually had a perfect two night stay and will be back.

Midges, but I dislike them in every campsite I've ever stayed in which is probably all of them.

Loads of good spots to pitch up, easy and flexible check in/out, amazing view of Blencathra and great location. Sensible conveniences - boosted by the freezer blocks I accidentally left behind! Would definitely recommend this for a simple set up and a great base for the north lakes.

The hosts were easy to get hold of once I was on site and ready to help when needed but otherwise left me to it.

A brief dip in the river before I left was a highlight. The midge bites I brought home weren't. 😂

Fantastic stay was welcomed from the beginning had a tour round the beautifully well kept site. Found it very relaxing easy to get to. Very accommodating was impressed with the communal room very clean and tidy loved the additional cooking area with yr gas stove incase the weather was unsuitable hadcan amazing time woukd 💯 book again the farm had animals and was lovely to see the resident peacock and the Robins was a delight
