A well maintained and looked after campsite

We liked the beautiful location of the farm facing the hills and waking up to this beautiful sight every morning. The reception shop stocked useful items we would need each day such as fresh milk, orange juice, and snacks. Hosts were in hand to assist if anything was needed. There was an indoor cooking and cleaning area which was useful as some days it was too windy and rainy to cook outside. The wash and bathroom facilities were also handy and fairly clean.

The regular grass pitches are great, lovely clean toilets and showers. Beautiful views. Well kept crass and flowers. Very friendly staff.

The riverside pitches I would not recommend. Full of horse flies. On a slope. Chemical toilets are horrendous, they stink, are filthy and we were there a week and the bin was emptied once. Not cleaned once in our whole stay, we ended up driving or walking down to the other main toilets by the regular grass pitches, which we stayed on 2 years ago and loved, if we needed to go (this was not ideal at night when it's dark and it's quite a walk).

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The areas to pitch up were spacious, clean and varied. I chose a lovely spot by the river and it completely restored my faith and love for camping.

The facilities were also clean, organised but not in a way that removed the whole vibe of being in the outdoors.

I have already begun speaking with my friends so as to return with them next year.

Gill Head Farm was a great base to have in order to commute to treks, walks and swims that I wanted to get to.

A beautiful site with spectacular views, perfect for our family of four. The showers and toilets were clean. The pitch was a nice size. The kids loved the park and cycling around the site. Lovely to see the chickens and peacocks too. We would visit again.

Some of the best views we have had on a campsite. Grounds were well maintained. Very big campsite with lots of space and only noticed another field on the last day. Clean toilets and wash facilities. Washing machine and dryer if you need it. Common room with TV. Good little shop selling fresh milk and some of the basics. Fire pits a must for the evening. Will be back again

Would be great to have some climbing frames and swings appropriate for 10/12 year olds. Frames a bit for the younger crowd.

Absolutely fantastic camping site, all the facilities you need and more, playground, community room, kettle, toaster, microwave, a reception with a shop and friendly staff that are always happy to help, a beautiful views in every direction. Only 15-30 minutes drive to amazing sites from mountains to lakes and waterfalls. We ended up staying an extra two nights. We will definitely be staying there again.
