Pods need better double mattresses for back area. Those provided were inadequate and uncomfortable. They were thin and fold over.

We noticed many tents in opposite fields who were clearly known to each other and congregated together.
Grassed area outside pods and on opposite field was long and needed mowing.

It would appear that the site has had a bad experience of a group booking however this should not to need to impact on others. Not everyone is the same and most majority respect the site. Its not welcoming to be reminded what to do and what not to do.

There was more concern for the grass than the enjoyment of the guests. We could not predict the weather conditions. Grass will always grow back, guest may not always comeback. Maybe additional decking would help outside the pods.

We would return in the hope that there was a relaxed and welcoming feel.

Site had something for everyone. There was the busier part close to the adequate amenities, but also the quieter part down by the river. We camped by the river and it was lovely going to sleep with the sound of the rushing water, but there was also a waterfall with natural pools at the bottom which the whole family enjoyed exploring and playing in. Also it was secluded enough and surrounded by stunning scenery, but also less than 15 minutes drive to Keswick, which had lots of options for food and anything else you need.

Second time staying here this year (first time with kids and dog). Love this site, play area and field for kids is brilliant and plenty of places to walk dog. Shower room lovely and clean and kids loved common room too.

5th visit here. Great location, friendly staff and very clean facilities. Perfect place for a family and dog get-away.

Great little communal room to with microwaves, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer. Toilets were clean and showers were good. Was able to choose where to pitch my tent which was nice. Lovely little waterfall less than two minute walk away from the site. Didn’t use it myself but there is a small shop on site for essentials.

We all love this campsite. The kids (11 & 9) enjoy the park, but also when the weather is wet they can go to the communal room which is great for keeping them entertained. Toilets & showers always clean. The tent pitches are fantastic, waking up to amazing views of Blencathra, and Great Mell Fell. Good location, only a short drive to Keswick, Ullswater and the start of many exciting walks!

The facilities were great. The pod was perfect for a family of 3. The heated floor was great on a night!
