Good sized pitch with electric hook up.
Matts supplied for around the tent in bad weather.
Picnic bench and fire pit for each pitch.
Showers, toilets and wash up area were all spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water.
Owners were friendly and helpful.
Dogs are allowed.

The location - next to the river with field views and just a few minutes walk into the lovely village of Caldbeck. The facilities were just right and the shower and toilets were kept clean.

Simple site, clean and tidy with the right facilities. Lovely hosts that were helpful and friendly. Walking distance to local shop, pub and 24 hour milk dispenser. Will return.

The site was lovely, well presented and maintained very well. The pitch we had was a fabulous size and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are of the smaller scale however suitable and cleaned regularly even when wet outside. We had a lovely stay and will certainly recommend to others. Great location to travel to mountains and lakes. And a lovely
Local pub and shop too which was a welcomed site.

Just the shared sink in the toilet was a bit socially awkward sometimes but saying that it was an icebreaker !

Everything! This campsite was clean and well maintained. One thing we loved was how the pitches were laid out, it gave each pitch ample space, and was great for boundary keeping.
The owner was very friendly, the toilets were always well stocked and maintained, the showers were lovely. The washing up block was well maintained with the added bonus of the solar charger.
I loved being able to take the dog for a morning wander into the forest, and around the lovely local area of the campsite.
The campsite is well located and is close to all the necessary amenities, including a lovely local shop, pub, and a couple of lovely cafes (our favourite was the muddy duck!)
The river running through the campsite provided a really ambient feel and was good for the little one to have a little paddle.
The site was safe which meant the little one rode his bike all day long, and was always itching to go for his morning/evening ride! Checking in was easy and well sign posted, there was recycling facilities and a clean rubbish area too! We were all really impressed with the site and will definitely be back, if anyone is looking at booking, I'd sincerely recommend you do so because it'll be one of the loveliest holidays you'll have. There were lots of journey-makers using the site, hikers, cyclists, which means it's perfect for stop offs too!

This camp site was lovely. Owner was really helpful even helped with a jump start when I flattened my car battery 🙈. Very clean, toilets were clean regularly and always well stocked. The showers were big and warm. Well lite at night. Loved the camp fire and picnic bench at your pitch, made a lovely touch. Lovely walk into the village where we enjoyed the milkshakes and walks off the campsite. Enjoyed waking up to the sheep in the field next to us. The washing up hut was a lovely idea especially if raining, lots of information in the hut. Would definitely recommend and stay again. 😊

The owners or the site were so friendly and super welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in their site and care for the guests. Toilets and showers cleaned frequently and pitches are all well cared for, neat marked pitches with fire pit and picnic bench on each plot. Beautiful river running along the site with access down to the water and a walking trail just off the site.

That we didn’t have time off work to stay longer!
