Forget the Tour de France, between 7-14 September the UK’s biggest professional cycle race, the Tour of Britain, will be hitting our streets. To celebrate the arrival of this free-to-spectate event, outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has handpicked four sites near four of the eight stages.
Powys Pods – Hay-on-Wye, from £8.75pppn

Stage three of the Tour of Britain takes in all of the sights from Newtown to The Tumble, passing through the beautiful town of Hay-on-Wye on the way. During stage four, cyclists will travel from Worcester to Bristol, enjoying the sights of the Cotswolds on the way. Botany Camping - Wiltshire from £14.17pppn
Warminster, Wiltshire: Pitchup.com has availability on its bell tents at Botany Camping this September with prices starting from £170 for a two-night stay based on six people sharing (£14.17pppn).
Stage six of the route covers Bath to Hemel Hempstead. Just a few miles from the action, Botany Camping in Wiltshire is a small, cosy and family-friendly site situated in an ancient landscape of white horses and stone circles. The site is three miles from Longleat and all its great attractions including the safari park and Longleat House.
The pre-erected 5m-bell tents are carpeted, spacious, light and airy. A cool box with ice and a fire kit with fire lighters, kindling, logs, marshmallows and skewers are all provided to ensure the perfect camping experience. Toilets and showers are on site.
The Old Thorns Manor Hotel - Hampshire from £43.50pppn

The stage seven route from Camberley to Brighton goes directly through the beautiful region of Liphook in Hampshire, where this fantastic site is. All pods include access to the hotel's main facilities including Elevation Health and Fitness, the sports bar, Atrium Champagne Bar and public areas.
