I wouldn’t recommend to those with younger children as not much for them to do. No play area.

-The shower & toilet facilities - clean & modern.
-The bar onsite serving pizza on certain evenings, and coffee & cakes in the daytime.
-Walking distance to a local pub.
-Train station within walking distance.
-The staff were friendly.

The only slight negatives we found were:

-The only option to leave site by foot is to walk down the main road. Not a problem in the summer, but could be an issue in the winter with dark nights.

-Public transport is quite remote, there is a train station in the next village which is great but there are only 4 trains a day going to Shrewsbury for example. Not an issue if you plan your journeys around the specific timetable.

What a great site, quiet, well laid out, clean toilets and showers, had a lovely feel about it, had a bar as well what’s not to like, hopefully not too many people will read this as I wouldn’t want it to get spoilt, would definitely go back

Absolutely amazing stay! I stayed with my daughter for 3 nights (booked for 2 but stayed an extra night) in the shepherd hut. We paid the extra £25 to hire the toilet/shower/washing up facilities which are for sole use and located in the adjacent wooden building.
The hut has all you could need. A very comfortable bed (bring own linen), a log burner, small fridge, crockery and cutlery for 2, kettle, frying pan and medium saucepan and a super fast single induction hob. Outside there is a picnic bench and a brick bbq/fire.
There is a lovely bar onsite which also serves light bites and coffe and cakes (check opening times as varies).
Lovely helpful owners too.
We visited carding mill valley for a wonderful stunning walk up to a small waterfall (not pushchair friendly as a bit of a scramble over rocks). There is also wild swimming there too.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this campsite. I asked if possible for our pitch to be near the loos, and we were across from them. All the facilities were clean and tidy, there is a microwave, fridge and freezer for you to use. In the evening there is a beautiful barn which serves an array of drinks including cocktails most of the spirits are produced locally. There is food served Thursday to Saturday which unfortunately we missed. There is an enclosed space to let your dog run which was fabulous. If you enjoy stargazing there is no light pollution so you could see stars for miles. It is brilliantly placed to be able to reach some areas of outstanding beauty and in 15 minutes you can be into Wales. We enjoyed it that much we stayed an extra night. We WILL be back.

An absolutely exceptional campsite with lovely owners. We stayed 3 nights and the place was so peaceful and had stunning views. Very well maintained and looked after. On site shop and also an on-site bar (which was cheap too!!!). Washing room with fridge, freezer and microwave and the toilet and shower block was modern and immaculate. I cannot fault a single thing, we absolutely loved it here, the pitches were huge! We will be returning here many times I imagine. Amazing!
