Fabulous peaceful site in beautiful rural setting - with added bonus of great facilities such as a cosy bar/cafe with log fire too. Immaculately kept grounds too - we really enjoyed our stay. Local pub about 6 mins walk and we enjoyed great fish n chips there on a Friday night.

Absolutely everything. Great location. Great site. Lovely bar area Toilet and shower block spotless. Loved every second of our three day stay. Will definitely be staying again.

Immaculately kept, and laid out site which is a credit to the owners. On arrival we were greeted by Ian who explained where everything was and shown to our pitch. The toilets and showers were very clean and with a cafe/bar on site along with a small shop with essential items it's very hard to find any fault with this site. The on-site cafe/bar has a small food menu if you don't fancy cooking as well as a varied stock of drinks, there's also a half sized snooker table to play on. We will definitely be back at some stage.

I love the site and I usually come with either my walking group or my sister throughout the year, beautiful clean and quiet site and fabulous area for hiking.

A very long story, however upon arrival for my keys to two Shepard's huts, that I had revised my booking from a Friday to Sunday via email confirming to just a Saturday with over a weeks notice as per terms and conditions, I have been overcharged and made to feel I can not go again to the site!

I had made a mistake of not booking bedding which was my fault and was told we could pay £20 for bedding which we did asking why though as it seemed that I had been overcharge for the whole stay?

I was faced with a alarming upset lady at the bar ( Tracey) maybe that I had indeed upset her regarding advice on her website so things like this were not over looked.

At no point was I aggressive or rude I was asking questions as a customer would, until the lady decided to tell me I had upset her so much as they were loosing money that she was going to go into the kitchen and no longer discuss!

I was clearly upset paid for my bottle of water, and left to go to bed with my daughter and leave the rest of the family in the bar.

I am a professional wedding and account manager and I would never speak or act in such a unprofessional manner. I decided to leave and bring this to the attention of Pitch up as a complaint.

Reservation numbers - QT5WPZGP & F152XXKC - I have been charge a two nights stay on both when I confirmed in a email on the 30th and 31st August that we were swapping to two huts for one night at £110. I have now paid £182!!!!

Yes I totally understand regarding the bedding -£20 therefore I am owed £52 for a very unwelcoming and unpleasant stay.

And will not be referring any of my walking groups to such a site, such a shame as my time before has been fabulous.

Beautifully well kept site with excellent facilities.
Run by an extremely helpful and friendly couple who from the first contact with a booking error by ourselves have been very accommodating and on hand with any query.
The site has gravel pathways leading to the amenities which means there is no mud and grass taken indoors for the most part.
The bar area doubles as a place for coffee and cakes during the daytime and is very comfortable light and airy with seating outside as well is in.
Serving food that was very tasty and reasonably priced.
The washroom block is kept warm and clean as is the washing up area ( also indoors)

Beautiful and peaceful site. The site owners and staff were lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets are very clean. Added bonus of an on site bar with food. We had a great time chatting with the locals as well. We can't wait to go back.
