Friendly staff, excellent location, great level spacious pitches, spotless modern facilities, great little pub on site, lovely walk along the river to a tyre rope swing over the beck. Our daughter and Son-in-law and young family on the next pitch absolutely loved the rope swing and the ducks that visited every morning. A hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Very helpful and friendly owner. Lovely wee site, with beautiful surrounds. Local amenities clod by. Hidden wee gem.

The showers (female) didn’t drain too well.

The site was very clean and beautifully presented. The toilet facilities are -immaculate. Check-in was welcoming with everything explained.
It is easily accessible from the M6 but tucked away to be quiet.
There are lovely walks from the campsite along the canal towpaths.
There are facilities on site (bar) and eating facilities close by.

It was a lovely quiet campsite and the staff were really helpful. Particularly when my car battery was flat when I was leaving. Will definitely look at booking again in the future.

Nothing that was the fault of the site. Unfortunately I picked the rainiest day of the week to stay. I'd love to go back when the weather is better

Beautiful, quiet site with gorgeous surroundings. Everyone was respectful of each other, dogs stayed on leads and sound from the bar was at a minimum, which made for a really relaxing stay.

The toilet/shower block was a bit of a walk from the tent pitches, it wouldn’t put me off returning though.

Fantastic Stay – Everything You Need for a Peaceful Night at the Lakes

From the moment we pulled up to the site, we were warmly greeted by the staff at reception who couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, and welcoming. They provided clear and easy-to-follow instructions on where to pitch up for the night, which made getting settled in stress-free.

The pitch itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and level—perfect for parking up the campervan without any hassle. Hooking up to the electric and water was incredibly straightforward, with all the necessary facilities conveniently located and easy to access.

The wash facilities were excellent—large, clean, and well-maintained. It’s clear that care and attention go into keeping the site in top condition. The location was absolutely beautiful and ideal for families, with a dedicated children’s play area that was safe and well thought out.

What really stood out was how peaceful the site was. Everyone staying there was respectful, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere that really helped us unwind. The WiFi signal was strong throughout our stay, which was an added bonus and worked without any issues.

We had a great night’s sleep and left feeling refreshed. The site had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the Lakes. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to others looking for a well-run, family-friendly, and tranquil place to stay.
