The site was large with areas for campervans, caravans and tents.

Basic amenities but they were very clean and well maintained.

Fresh water taps and EHUs were available.

The site was secure and safe.

Very close to a motorway that could be noisy at night.

Great location just off A1. Good facilities, always hot water! Our second stay so we knew what to expect.

A very tidy, pleasantly laid out and well tended site, bordered by tidy fencing and natural, screening hedgerow, and with generous sized flat pitches.

Owner allocated tent pitches farthest from the main road bordering the site, which was appreciated.

Not a dog-lover myself, but liked the dog rules that accommodated dog walking and control, whilst respecting the site for everyone else.

Location great being half way between Ripon and Thirsk with good road access.

The price of good road access is the noise from the A1 and A61! It didn't bother us greatly (a bit like background 'white noise') but it is pretty noticeable nonetheless day and night. Not ideal for a peaceful site, but other than moving the A1 and A61, or the campsite itself, not a lot can be done about that!

Not all dog owners adhered to 'dog on leash' rules. Not the site owner's fault...Thank you to the dog owners who did control their dog(s) and respect the site's rules.

Site perhaps needs a 'no noise after 'x' p.m.' rule clearly published/ displayed as neighbouring unit had music playing till gone 2.a.m. (Apologies if there is one and I missed it.) Although I'm sure the couple thought they had the music on quietly, (which relatively speaking, they did) it still carried to adjacent units (even over the overnight noise from the A1). A 'party' noise curfew set at a specific time would clarify it. Didn't inform the site owner as we were leaving in the morning...very tired!

Showers were basic but functional, with room to hang towels, clothes etc, and to change - but probably need more than 2 when site is busier, perhaps? Only one washing up sink, (but never had to queue) but it had plentiful hot water. Toilets basic and functional. Clean. Women's looked nicer but had no hot water - men's looked less nice but had hot water! Really do need hand drying facilities in the toilets though.

The site was very clean and peaceful. They were very Friendly and helpful site owners. The facilities on offer were well looked after and very good. The location was perfect for what I wanted to do with my days, short drive to a lot of lovely towns/cities and walks/hikes. Also it’s Always nice to see a couple lovely animals on site too!

As our first camping trip this site was amazing, being disabled I thought it was going to be hard for me, but it was not.
Fantastic facilities amazing

The only thing we didn't like was the traffic noise, but that can't be helped,

Very clean and calm environment.
Everyone was super friendly.

Loved that there is a fridge freezer on site which was great due to being able to stock up with plenty from the shop.

This site is in a tiny village which doesn’t have anything around which is walking distance ie a pub or a shop. Yeah
