Good area for visiting Hornsea and the East coast. Friendly staff. Toilet's and showers were cleaned every day and were decent so didn't mind paying £1 for a shower. There was a lovely kitchen area inside, which was ideal. It also had a washing machine, microwave and kettle for people to use.

The grass was beautifully kept and tidy. Nice size pitches.
WiFi worked for us which was handy

No a fault of the site but the hard standing area seems to get the wind. Make sure you peg out all the guys.
The tent area is more sheltered.

Good clean facilities. The showers are always hot unlike some other places we've stayed. They take pound coins, but you can easily get two showers with the credit. Your car will not get stuck if it rains a lot, because your car doesn't park with you on your tent pitch. It remains on hard standing in a close by car park. This is good, but it does take longer to set up and put away with the extra walking you need to do, depending on how far away you choose your pitch. The place is well maintained and there's an onsite washing machine and tumble dryer.

Signage could be better for when your trying to find the place. Not a problem once you know where it is, but the postcode will take you past it. Just look for a layby area on the same side of the road and next to a White water tower. The showers do not have anywhere to put your things apart from some coat hooks. We just borrowed a chair from the seating area, just outside the building to put in the shower cubicle, to keep your stuff off the floor. There are only x2 showers and x3 toilets. This is fine when they're not busy, but you may need to queue at busier times. The tent pitches are not marked out. It's bit of a free for all. I rang the number on the confirmation email, and they were happy for us to set up on the caravan area if there wasn't enough space, but we didn't need to. 10:00am is a bit early to be left by. Especially when you need a few hours of sun to dry the tent out and the extra back and forth walking you need to do, to get to the car. It really isn't that far, but each trip adds up. You could also park the other side of the fence.

I read the previous reviews but went with an open mind as opinions vary according to your expectations/needs and I feel some of the comments are very unfair & not justified, here’s our experience. Lovely little quiet, family oriented site, yes it is basic but has everything you need and clean facilities (with plenty of toilet roll and a mirror) helpful site manager who went above and beyond with customer service from the moment we arrived and easily contactable, easy to find with good signs from the main road, yes, there is no play park, so the children played ball games on the grass with other children, safely and in our sight, no, there isn’t a bar, but you know that when you book it and take your own refreshments, no, you can’t park on your pitch, but you can park round the edges and our car was about 3 metres from our tent so unloading was easy and the children even enjoyed helping. I was worried about noise after reading people’s comments about party caravans but from about 8pm everyone was so quiet and respectful. WiFi wasn’t great but that’s a good thing, play uno, talk to your kids, the 4G in the area was good enough for the hubby to watch football on his phone. The site is clearly a developing project and we would definitely go back, will be nice to see next year how things have changed 👍🏻

Only feedback I would give is the toilets could use something to dry your hands and that’s more my own fault because I knew that and kept forgetting to take a towel 🤦🏼‍♀️

Was family friendly , had area for us to eat , shower and cook. Clean and tidy. Spacious and very friendly people , would 100% recommend and we will be going back again with friends. Price was perfect and land was flat , fresh cut grass and easy access.

Nothing was perfect

Very nice and quiet place to stay and relax with your family. All camping site is very clean and looked after. Me and my family enjoyed all week stay in this camping site.

Really quiet site. Clean facilities everyday. Nice enclosed field to pitch your tent. The site is obviously still under renovation but once work is completed it will be even better. It Would be nice to have some tent pitches facing onto the windmills where a clearing has been made already as it’s a great view :) we would definitely return.

Really need something to dry your hands on after using the loos. Just a paper towel dispenser would be perfect.
No warden/staff on site so when the electric went off at 5am we had to wait till a reasonable hour to contact the site owner to find out how to get it back on. Trip switch is just in the facilities block for any other fellow campers that need to know this.
The WiFi is poor but it usually is when you go on holiday!
Noted a few previous reviews mentioned the parking. The first part of parking is small, however you can park all around the perimeter of the tent field as well without blocking anybody.
