We had our own private pitch with a compost toilet, warm shower and fire pit. Guy, the owner, gave us a bag of wood and kindling free of charge and was very helpful giving us information about where we go could go to eat out (Llanidloes and a campsite about a mile away). Guy let the kids play rounders and ball games in another field too. We were in a field next to goats and their babies so we had a great time watching them. The pitch had a bit of a slope, but what you can expect from Wales. We went to the local pub which was a 15 minute walk away, they had a pool table and it was a lovely little local pub and we were made to feel welcome (despite our questionable song choices on the jukebox). We had to park a short walk away from our pitch, but Guy carried our heavy tent and gazebo to the pitch for us. Don't forget your torch, on the walk back from the pub it was pitch black and on the first night we had wonderful star gazing as it was so dark and clear. Guy was happy for my son to put his little pop up tent up as well as our beast of a tent.
