They kept us informed before arriving that the pub was closed .Due to Staff shortages??

The site was waterlogged I know they couldn’t do anything about the weather but they need to sort out the pitches .No lightning on site .Would not recommend to friends Saw no one at all from the owners o. Site

24 hr access to toilets. Lovely sunset.

No toilet paper in disabled toilet. Had to park in car park not campsite. Traffic noise. On arrival staff disinterested.

Great stopover in the car park of the Marlbank Inn. The pub toilets remained open all the time for campers to use, as did the showers, although I didn’t have one. Had a drink in the pub in the evening. Lots of folks seemed to come for the Indian kitchen, popular for take away as well as eating in. Had a good nights sleep as the road was very quiet ages closing time, at 10.

Tranquil site

On arrival another motorhome was on our pitch. Sorted this out and got setup. The
following morning we went to use the toilet and shower facilities and were extremely dissappointed as there is only two showers of which need immediate updating and whilst we were there - 4 days in total - the facilities were never cleaned at all. We struggled to find a bin to place our rubbish in and if it wasn't for the fact that we had paid in full, we would have moved on and found elsewhere to stay. I do not nomally write any reviews but found this site completely and utterly appalling and wouldn't expect anyone to stay on this site - let alone at the price they are charging.
We have never been so dissappointed in all the years we have been camping.

Well priced, only a couple of pitches, shower toilet facilities, on-site pub with food

The site very close to three counties show ground excellent pub and restraunt.

The surrounding area.

Greeted with an over flowing skip. Lack of facilities considering the price. The location of the pitch was hard to find due to poor signage. Food at the pub was little choice and sadly the pub was very cold along with the toilets. Needless to say we only stayed one night never to return.

We were expecting the pub to be open on Sunday (as advertised, but it was closed as there were no bookings for food )
Spoke to the owner who apologised sincerely
I felt pitchup /and Marlbank inn should have made us aware of this at time of booking

How convenient it is for the pub/restaurant.

The state of the campsite pitches, completely waterlogged and muddy the hardstanding strips of concrete are spaced too far apart to get both sets of wheels on. Even walking on the grass one sinks into it. This is worse than last year.
