We were met on arrival by the lovely Anita whom showed us where the toilets were, where the tipping point was and gave use general information on the park and the area etc. We have never been fortunate enough to be able to get availability at the The Happy Pheasant when we have looked in the past and have unfortunately had to stay at some of the other local site. We liked the fact that The Happy Pheasant is a very rural campsite that had a village within walking distance with a few small shops and two great pubs all close by. There are lots of tourist attractions to visit locally and plenty of quiet walks along the many bridleways. The site is very spacious and well laid out. All pitches face the open country side and none of them face other pitches, all have lovely views towards the welsh hills. The pitches are a good size to be able to park a large caravan and car on and still have plenty of room for your awning. Our pitch was fully serviced and included, our own water tap, waste water grid, light and pre topped up smart meter etc. The park is very quiet with no road/traffic noise what so ever, one of the things that we loved was the sound of the birds in the day and the owls at night. The owners were very welcoming and nothing was a problem. This is a new site that is very safe and secure. Anita the owner opens the height restriction barrier for you on arrival and opens it for you on departure. Cars and SUVs can fit under without a need for opening. The park is also covered by CCTV. The loos were always clean and fresh. There is a huge 25 acre fenced off dog walk on the park that is also part of the farm that only guest have access too, dogs can run freely on it, our two loved it and we couldn't get the off. This site feels like it's going to be one of our regular visited sites if we are lucky to find availability.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
