A Fantastic location. Modern site. Pub on site which sells lovely food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Shop on site.

Some “toilet only” facilities to make it quicker for those just wanting to nip to the loo.
Water pressure wasn’t great when filling water for sinks.

Pitch sizes were really good, really clean toilets and showers, very welcoming, pub on site, such a nice stay we loved it here and can’t wait to come back!

Pitch size are great! The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean, owners really welcoming and did rush us off in the morning! Bonus pub on site :) love this place we can’t wait to come back!!

Not a dislike but could do with a couple of extra toilets on there own as in the morning everyone wanted showers so was waiting a good 10 mins for toilet but did NOT put us off

What a delightful camping site 😁
We stayed here in our camper van with awning and asked for a quiet flat pitch and got exactly that plus with beautiful views and was so perfect for what we were wanting that we ended booking on for a longer stay than was planned.

Chris and Adam were so welcoming and checked on us daily to see how we were, giving us lots of helpful advise and recommendations which was greatly appreciated.

The campsite itself was a really lovely size, not overcrowded, it had great facilities which were all clean and well lit and the showers were nice and hot and a good size.

The site itself was situated behind a really lovely pub and pizzaria with a beer garden and play area and was in close walking distance from other pubs if you needed them.

It was also in a great location to go on plenty of walks and withing a short driving distance of some really lovely places to visit like Hartington, a really sweet little country village, Bakewell, a good size town, Matlock bath, which had a lovely holiday feel and charm and Matlock as well as other places to visit that were close by.

We took our own campfire but these were available also to hire and the onsite shop was extremely handy when we needed to buy more kindling and logs for it.

It was also a dog friendly site ( to be kept on leads) which was great for our little dog but also lovely not to have other dogs running all over the site which also kept the pitches clean.

We will definitely be back again not just because of it being a beautiful site to stay on but also because of the extra effort that both Chris and Adam put in to make our stay and enjoyable one.

I know that there is usually something that you dislike but with this site, we really can't think of anything.

We had a warm welcome by friendly staff and I liked that they came round every couple of days to check on everyone. The site was tidy, not too noisy and in a peaceful location with access to great activities and beautiful countryside close by. The pub next door is excellent: great food and friendly staff at a decent price.

The weekend seemed to be filling up just as we were leaving and that seemed to be putting a strain on the facilities. The staff did their best to keep toilets and showers clean but they quickly became dirty again. They needed more for peak times I'd suggest.

Great size pitches and friendly staff. Clean facilities and the onsite pub was a definite bonus.

We had a fabulous few days at the campsite and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We were able to pitch up on a good sized pitch and had lots of space to park the car too. The toilets and showers were clean and there were enough to accommodate the campers.

Nothing, we felt that the washing up facilities would benefit from roofs being constructed as this would make the experience better given that we live in the Uk and it rains a lot.

Location was lovely.
Site was well maintained.
Staff very friendly.

Need more electric hook up pitches.
More clothes hooks in the unisex shower blocks to put your stuff.

The views were stunning, the pitches were always kept tidy and clean. They were spaced enough from others. The play area for children, the children loved. The facilities were designed well and monitored throughout the day, tidy and clean. The staff were so friendly and checked in every morning with us. The quiet time between 10pm and 8am was always adhered too. It was a perfect site for families. If the dogs were well behaved and it wasn’t at peak time the owner had no problems letting the dogs off leads for most of the day. We honestly had the best time, I think they’ve just done enough in terms of keeping it rural while still providing some home comforts, showers and toilets. There were 2 toilet/showers on site, 3 showers on site, one individual showers toilet, and just through the play area and to the front of the car park are two separate toilet/showers. We loved it! Thank you!

The full layout, clean and tidy. Chris came and welcomed us as we were setting up, the kids loved the park area. The restaurant was lovely we tried the pizzas which were delicious. Toilets, showers & washing up facilities all clean and tidy. Well sign posted. In a good area to get to Buxton, Bakewell and other surrounding areas. We visiting Thors cave and Dove dale National park. We enjoyed watching the planes fly overhead, there is a donkey sanctuary on the field next door so some noise is heard but our kids loved it. WiFi code at check in although it was hit and miss signal wise but better than my own O2 coverage.
