Beautiful site, lots of woodland around for cycling and walks, with or without dogs. Lots of spaces hardstanding and grass to pick choice. This was the best thing about it. Water points and waste areas kept clean and tidy and near, depending where you decide to pitch. I liked that you were left to it, but surprised as email suggested otherwise I.e wardens would check on you and provide litter bag?
Grass was long on arrival, I was somewhat surprised by this. The ground was also very hard so you do need proper tent stakes, cheap metal ones won't work, ignore my warning and you will find out the hard way.
Your paying for the location. There is no toilet and no shower as stated. Make sure you have camp toilet and means to wash yourself for personal hygiene. Take black bags. I liked the site, it was just what I needed in terms of quietness and walks.
I went as a solo female, no dog or person with me. I would say, I was weary initially as it is rather a huge site, but there were other campers on site so felt fairly relaxed, as a lot of coming and going by non campers that walked through or cycled through the site. I counted about 7 campers on arrival that went down to roughly 5, very friendly. So felt OK, easy to spot them also in eye view. Still carry panic alarm just in case as lots of non campers on bikes or walking through. Not at night thankfully just in daylight.
4 stars for location 3 stars for facilities 5 stars for pitch options 2.5 stars for security
Would I come again, yes, but only for an overnight stay as prefer smaller more secure sites with cameras, wardens or owner presence around, not to be pestered but at least greeted once on arrival.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. We unfortunately don't have the ability to mention the lack of toilets on the booking page. It is however mentioned both on the listing on pitchup and in our terms and conditions.
