No steps to the beach. All a bit shabby.

Booked in February, but only told beach access closed about a week before holiday. Closure of beach results in no access to any walks/footpaths from site. Unable to use pool as have to have two people swimming at a time and we have a dog. Onsite shop had almost no food stock ( pot noodles, 1 cucumber, a bag of peppers and 3 packs of cheap white bread ) not even a pint of milk at any time, and usually shut anyway. Restaurant closed every day we were there. Wifi only in the clubhouse/bar, which was not always open. Access road to site, steep and single track for two way traffic. No info was available when I booked or we would not have booked it. Anyone who booked before beach closure, should have been notified with option to cancel.

Beautiful site and very clean and tidy, swimming pool was a nice treat.

Needed more food choices in the sundown restaurant and such a shame we couldn’t use the costal path

Good site with amazing views the, pitch is a bit tight for the car and awning. The amenities are good but a bit dated.

2 star for the wifi just because it can only be accessed in the bar area.

No access to beach anymore, makes site landlocked and transport necessary to leave site, wouldnt cycle on A39.

Nothing to dislike Maybe just earlier check in than 2pm on touring pitches and slightly later checkout but this would not stop me from returning

The site is clean and quiet

We have stayed before in our campervan and it was lovely, however, this time we were surprised to have no confirmation from the owners. When we arrived we were told that the steps to the beach were closed and so there is no access. The beach is the only attraction, there is no cafe or shop. Had we known we couldn't get to the beach we would not have booked. The girl at reception said that it was mentioned but we could not find any reference to that fact. As it was late afternoon and a long drive we stayed overnight but left the next morning. We felt we should have been told beforehand and I was very angry and upset. The path has been deteriorating for several years and has been patched up, it now needs to be completely rebuilt. I can't recommend this place until beach access is restored because there is nothing else to do.

The views and facilities

Club house bit dated

Excellent facilities, very large and nice clubhouse with views over the water. Huge games room, Tennis court and swimming pool. Showers and toilets always clean. Pitches all pretty level. We could see the sea from our pitch which was lovely.

The link road down to the campsite is a steep hill with few passing spots. Not ideal when towing a caravan.
