Beautiful place next to great walk and trail options. We did a 4 hour round route and stopped at the pub in Lupton then walked back up to the pitch.
Joe is easy to contact and provides great bags of wood for just £5. We purchased milk and eggs from the farm next door and it was wonderful.
Great place for kids as not a huge site and has fencing around it so our little one could run about as much as he liked.
Loved the focus on everything being Eco friendly and the facilities are brilliant. We had a fridge but if you don't they have a kitchen space with a fridge and freezer and the toilets/shower are spotless.
This is a great spot if you want to see the lake district and use it as a base for hike, mountain biking or going to Kendal or bigger lakes but enjoy a peaceful spot on a night.

Lovely wild campsite. Not too big, pitches spread well and although not huge still feel you are not on top of other campers. Free to park and pitch as you want. My 9 year old loved this site. We got to watch the cows being milked, buy the cheese and fresh milk. Kept in a fridge with honesty box. The compost toilet and showers where clean and spacious and the water was hot!!

BBQ and fires aloud, the farmer brought us wood. The farmer was always on hand for anything and told about what was around.

Had a walk up the top of the farm that takes you to the crag, which was amazing. Felt like you could spend hours up there exploring. The farmers sheep had been released from the fields to the crag with their baby lambs, so was able to see the lambs up close.

Overall I would recommend this site, we had a great time and will definitely be back!
