Space and food quality was excellent.

Toilet facilities could do with a refresh. Not many food places nearby.

It was clean a little dated in toilet block but everyone friendly and couldnt do enough for you nice big feild to pick were ever you want to pitch up plenty of space short walk to the toilet block entertainment on site nice food (we had breakfast) reasonably priced little shop on site and nice walk along the canal

Lots of room on a large flat site. Staff were all incredibly welcoming and the site is beautifully well kept. The on site facilities are clean and all camping needs are catered to.
The evening pub entertainment (which was good!) knocked off when stated and the bar noise was well managed - can hear from the camping field but not invasive.

4G/phone signal is rubbish, but obviously not an issue related to the site, just a heads up for if you’re desperate for it. The bar wifi was plenty good enough to access the basics.

This was our second time staying at shaw hall , great staff on site , washing up area with power outlets available , club which we enjoyed.

Showers need a refurbishment
No wi fi and mobile data wouldn’t work here

The restaurant had good food at decent prices and beer was reasonable.

Everything. You are put on a huge field with grass about 10" long so nothing in the tent would stand up, it had 1 tap for drinking water and it was about 300 yards to the 1 toilet and shower block which left a lot to be desired. On arrival at the park you are asked to sign a form with the rules and regulations and on this form it states that there is no toilet paper in the toilets and you will be given one at reception, as I didn't read all of the rules and wasn't given toilet roll at reception the first time I went to use the facilities there was no toilet paper and no soap in the containers. It states on the website that they have a fully stocked shop and we couldn't even get a box of cereal.

Lovely and welcoming, very clean facilities and had a good time. A big play area for the kids.

The grass on pitch site needs cutting and maybe a freezer available to put ice packs in.

We arrived at shaw hall after reception hours. We’re greeted by bar staff who sorted us out straight away. No designated pitch which meant we were free to choose. We went near to the facilities which in hindsight was a bit to close to the entrance for noise from night time traffic. There’s a large play area for kids.
The bar atmosphere was great, entertainment great. Facilities all good.
Location good for Ormskirk and a bit further Southport.
We enjoyed our stay and would return.

As always with the facilities it’s hard to keep onto of keeping clean. But they were clean. Shop closed earlier than I’d expect.

Great location and spacious field. Playpark is excellent and in view of tent field.

Site shower blocks are dated. Due to a recent incident they aren’t putting toilet paper in there should at least have a toilet holder for own paper.
Music at the bar went on till 10:30 could hear across the field only an issue for those with younger children it was very quiet after 10:30
