We enjoyed staying on a working farm, the informality, the location and the little produce shop. Our pitch was good, with electricity (it was hard standing) and we especially liked having our own water supply. This made it easy for us to rinse our kayaks, and there was a convenient fence for drying them.

These aren't really dislikes, but the variable water temperature in the showers may be an issue for some. Just once, in our 5 days, there was no hot water, but on a few occasions the hot water taps in the showers were extremly hot (not pre mixed), in a way that could be unsafe for unaccompanied young children. Avoid the mardy geese!

Lovely site it's such a treat being on a working farm we have two young boys who loved the animals. There is a beautiful walk to keswick along the old railway line which is a must if you stay at setmabanning.

Love this site. Really friendly, great little farm shop hut with bits n bobs and some lovely cakes! Toilets and showers clean. Lovely surroundings, what more could you ask!
