Amazing campsite, really friendly and well organised.
The best thing was the organisation and the thoughts of where to place people. We were a large group and was placed near other groups far away from family tents which I thought was fantastic.

Also the woman told us about it walk, roughly 15 minutes, and it took you to the nicest view. So so beautiful. Well worth the stay just for the walk.

Nothing to do with the site, just take care with satnav mine brought us up through Cheadle and Oakamore,an adventure when towing.
Should have looked at a map as Rue Hill is only 50 yds from A52. DOH.

Beautiful location, great facilities and a warm welcome from the owner. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Very friendly owners, the pitch size is nice and big and so much space to run around and feel your child is safe. The toilet block is well built and safe with lots of room in the showers can't fault it. This is a great location, not far from many activities such as wildlife Park, Waterworld at Stoke-on-Trent, Gulliver's land at Matlockand of course Alton Towers

Emptying Brown /grey

Brown waste is not really an issue but if your gray waste is full you have to lift it about waist hight and water is heavy. This could be a small issue for someone on their own or someone with limited strength. But we did have a discussion about it with the owners as we left and they have taken it on-board and have said they will deafly do something about it as we are not the first people to mention it and love any feed back to improve the site.

The couple who manage the site are extremely friendly and the facilities are basic but kept clean and were sufficient and staff were constantly available if you needed them.

We camped in out van and were put in the campervan only section of the site and we chatted to the staff saying we were there for a chilled relaxing weekend. 2hrs after we arrived 2 tents were erected just opposite us filled with hoards of teenage girls who spent the weekend playing rounders and screaming just outside our awning. They were very polite every 5 minutes when the ball came into our awning but it got very tedious very quickly! We didn't want to be 'that couple' so didn't complain but surely they should have been in the huge dedicated family area? Sadly we certainly won't be going back.
