Clean tidy site. Good facilities. Quick walk to the beach.

Not many free activities included in the price and the price wasn’t cheap.

The location was good. Next to the beach just over the sand dews but no view of the sea.

Run down, shower blocks dirty, toilets and sinks blocked. Showers poorly designed wet everything in there. Generally cleanliness poor. Staff not helpful excuse was it’s busy . Very expensive site much better sites out there for the price.
Activities all extra charge and pool fully booked.

Location is great, right on the beach, close to the village. Loved that everything is walkable. Lots of options of restaurants if you would like to use them.

Everything is very expensive - the restaurants and bar area I had expected to be, however the shop is ridiculous in both price and availability. Bearing in mind it’s the only shop really in the whole of Croyde it’s incredibly poorly stocked, I struggled even to get bread from it. The campsite itself is not a cheap one, which is fair due to its location, however I would expect that for this price the facilities would be a bit better. In the ladies toilets at least 3 of them didn’t lock, the showers were also of very poor quality. They were clean only if you managed to get in there very soon after they’d been deep cleaned. I went to the sinks to wash up after breakfast and it was absolutely filthy from last nights dinner dishes (which in fairness reflects more on the campers than the site).

The only other issue I had was that the site didn’t do a great job of ensuring it was quiet late at night. I was awoken at 00:30 by some older teenagers running around outside of our van, and realised in the morning that they’d stolen my son’s new football which was put under the middle of our van so they’d have had to actually lie on the floor to get it. I should have put it in the van overnight, but have never encountered this on a campsite before and we’ve stayed on absolutely loads of them. On the second night I woke up at 0300 to hear a building alarm going on for what seemed like forever until someone turned it off.

I would go back, but I would go far more prepared, and be more vigilant with my belongings. However if it was just to the two of us I would go to a different site in Croyde, this is definitely more for the kids than for us.

Toilets and showers not good in Croyde Burrows touring field. Food offerings over priced and poor quality except Thunderbird Chicken.

Very close to the beach.
Quick to sort out complaints.
Nice to see someone walk around the pitches chatting and checking on everyone.
Chilled out site and safe for the children.
Good choice of food outlets, shop reasonably well stocked (but expensive).
I would return, but in a campervan, if I was to recommend to a friend I would tell them the down sides and let them make the choice of booking or not.
Didn't use the activities!

Being pitched on a cheaper pitch, too small for our tent and having someone else take our pre-booked more expensive larger pitch. Leaving us with no room, needing to use next doors pitch to set out tent guy ropes, BBQ, park the car and pitched under trees with birds pooing on the tent.

Disgusting toilets and showers, in desperate need for updating (we were told they are going to upgrade the facilities for next year🤞🏻).
Decking in the clubhouse garden needs attention.
The pool changing rooms were smelly and dirty (but the kids loved the pool itself).
Being given vouchers and not a cash refund for our involuntary downgrade of pitch.

Pitch markings, I liked having pitch borders to define our area. The staff we spoke to were friendly. Signal was good. Other reviews said the toilets and showers were unclean but they were fine when we went. Waterpark was fun. Close to the beach and also close to wetsuit hire shop, as we hired body boards and suits for one of the days we were there.

All bookings for the waterpark were full when we arrived which was a bit upsetting at first as it was the only reason we booked this site. However - we were able to go early as a walk in slot (only so many places) and managed to have a splash :)

Shop and chippy/ pizza on site.
Great play Park at the top with sea views.
Swimming pool was good but very busy.

Toilet and shower facilities are bad.
No soap in 5 dispensers for a few days.
Several locks missing off the toilet and shower doors! Not good for kids.
Toilets are rarely cleaned.
Ripped vinyl flooring in toilets and showers. Vinyl + Gents urinals do not mix well!!!
Would be better if they tiled the whole floor for better and longer lasting flooring.
Tent pitches are close together.
Can be noisy at night so take ear plugs!
The weather was lovely so we tried to stay an extra night and they tried to charge us £90!
WiFi only available near main reception.
