The shower was hot and powerful. £1 for 3 minutes. It was clean and no noise after 10pm which seemed to be respected. Ideal if you're bringing kids. Relaxed check in times, so we arrived early. It's a working farm so expect machinery to be onnthe move.

The location and scenery was stunning being able to see Mam Tor from the site was incredible. My children loved seeing the farm and how it worked with the sheep being moved around. Nice clean site and facilities. Very rural. Great location for exploring, would be perfect for hikers.

Great site, loved the stone bathrooms instead of smelly portaloo, fire pits to hire and little shop at the farm house.. Great spot for walking to Mam Tor or into Castleton or up onto winnats pass.

The views are amazing and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The facilities are clean and the sockets in the wash area came in handy for phones and blowing up our beds as we only have pump up beds sadly. The fires and logs you can buy/hire from the farm shop are a great addition and we really enjoyed a fire on the second night. The value for money is brilliant and the area is stunning. Make sure to bring a little cash with you if you need to buy essentials from the farm shop as we don’t tend to carry it but when we wanted some eggs and milk it needed to be cash and the nearest cash machine is a drive away. They let me take the items til we visited Castleton the next day where we got cash and paid them.

The camping field was full by the time we got there and I explained to the staff my dogs had never been camping before so we need didn’t want to camp on top of other campers in case they were a pain noisy or whatever and they did allow us to open the gate to second field which we were grateful for. But as soon as we entered that field we saw it was covered in animal poop not small either. There wasn’t really a place you could walk without standing in it. But the field was empty so we pitched where we could. I tried to pick up as much as I could round the tent so the kids could play bat and ball etc but I gave in in the end. By the end of our stay it was all over everything including us hahah.
Then the strict no noise after 10pm rule on their advert was proven inaccurate as there was loud music and people beside us we had a group of young lads obviously just having fun and we didn’t mind but when it came past midnight and there were still at it while we tried to sleep it did become annoying.

Good price, good facilities, big shower £1 for 3 mins which is plenty enough. Toilets and sinks are clean and checked regularly. Food on site in evenings. Good atmosphere, lots of animals. Good location close to attractions and lovely views

No noise control - music can be played loudly late at night

Good price - helpful staff and facilities are ok. They also had a food van on Saturday evening that was popular. Lovely walks right from the site out to Castelton, Winnats Pass and Mam Tor. Arrive whenever you want and leave by 12 noon which was great.

Some noise from the younger crowd but it was early August and the site was very busy. The noise had died down by 10pm so not a problem but worth mentioning.
