We stayed at Rawter Campsite for 2 nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Both nights were extremely noisy – people were shouting and playing loud music well into the early hours, and no one from the site management seemed to intervene. On top of that, someone arrived during the night and noisily set up a tent in the dark right next to us, disturbing everyone nearby.
We barely slept either night and couldn't enjoy our evenings in peace. I would definitely not recommend this campsite for families with small children.
The site also felt overbooked and disorganised. There were no clearly marked pitches, so people just parked and pitched wherever they wanted, making the space feel cramped.
Additionally, showers cost £1 for just 3 minutes, which seems unreasonable considering the price of the stay – that really should be included.
The only positives were that our pitch was clean and the location itself is lovely. But sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the lack of peace and proper management. We won't be returning.
