The whole site was so green and incredibly clean it was a delight. The welcome we received on our arrival was just wonderful. The pitch was very spacious and very clean with everything that you could need.
Would definitely recommend for a quiet weekend escape.

Facilities were excellent, would have used the dog wash if we could have persuaded our staffy to get in there! Toilets and showers clean and always available. Pitch was excellent, EHU and water right next to van. Starlink WiFi was incredible, great for watching movies during rainy spells! Friendly staff, would visit again

Said no fire pits when booking but we're actually allowed as long as off the floor - we would have come prepared with wood if we had known! Could do with a play area for kids.

We stopped for three nights over the bank holiday weekend and loved it very second. Amazing site in the beautiful countryside! We stopped on a fully serviced pitch and it was perfect. Site is very well maintained and there is a wonderful dog run in the centre of the site which is a lovely touch.

Only thing missing is a kids play park

Excellent, new loo and shower block. Especially liked the individual loo, wash basin and shower rooms. May need extending if site full. Excellent, level and large pitches. TV cable hook up worked perfectly, as did internet connection. Helpful, pleasant staff..Good information pack, including local off-road footpaths.

Site still under construction, so very new and austere. Will probably be OK once it matures. £40 / night for one on a fully serviced pitch is not cheap.

Newish site, all facilities very good, couldn’t fault it, lovely river borders the site. Great for the dog, small enclosed area to let them run free and the river was great for a paddle.

Not being able to stay longer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rockbridge Campsite on a perfectly kept electric grass tent pitch, right on the corner of the River Lugg. Our pitch offered almost private access to a perfect swimming spot that was just the right depth for our children to enjoy paddling and dipping in the waters.

We took advantage of the local walks nearby, which provided stunning views over the park and the beautiful backdrop of the adjacent hills of Discoed. We also enjoyed seeing the cows and sheep grazing on the hills between Horton and Whitton.

Rockbridge is a lovely site with brilliant facilities. The washroom, Elsan point, and dog wash (even though we didn’t have our dog with us) were modern, clean, and a nice touch. The toilet and shower blocks were also of great standard.

One of the highlights was watching the sunset and the recent rare super blue moon, which appeared more golden than blue, above the hills from our tent. All in all, it was a fantastic 3-day stay for us.

We didn’t dislike anything.. However, we do have one suggestion: adding a park or play area for children would be a good enhancement.

While there is a park a short drive away in Prestigne, having something on-site would be great for keeping the little ones entertained once they’ve had their fill of dipping in the river.

Prestigne itself, when we walked through it, was rather run down with only a couple of local amenities open such as a coffee shop and a Spar. There was one lovely pup right in the middle which was a great little place, though. None of these negatives are the onus of Rockbridge, though.

Everything! The site is beautiful, the pitches are spacious and we were pitched right by the stream which was beautiful, shallow enough so that we didn’t need to worry about our children wandering down there (though there are some deeper bits dotted around). We had hours of fun skimming stones, playing Pooh sticks from the bridge and wandering around the fields. The toilets and showers are immaculate as are the washing up facilities. They even have a washing machine and tumble drier that are free to use. My daughter loved the ‘mini library’ where they had a selection of books and puzzles to borrow. We will definitely be back next year.
