Clean facilities, great clubhouse with great food vendors! Lovely scenic walks, quiet times are appreciated with having a young family will definitely stay again.

Great location walking distance to Kirby Stephen village with both Yorkshire Dales and Lake District within an easy hours drive.
Friendly staff with a very easy check in.
A small site but with good, spacious, flat tent pitches and a well equipped kitchen and easy access to bathroons.
The park is well enclosed, which made it feel safe for all the children to go off and play together without too much supervision.

We stayed for 4 days but after the first day the 2 toilets in the tented area had no soap in the dispensers. I know this seems a trivial thing but it meant having to go into the kitchen and using washing up liquid to wash hands when the sink was available.
Although there are plenty of USB phone charging points there are no available plug sockets. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but it rained for all 4 days we were there (in August) so it would have been handy to be able to charge a laptop for the kids to watch downloaded films.
However the staff were good enough to let us charge it in the office before we left on a long car journey.

What a site! Our first experience of an electric pitch with our tent, which was a nice addition but not the main attraction of the site. It literally had EVERYTHING we could have needed, not only was our little one
occupied with the park when the weather allowed, but when it didn’t and we wanted a break from the tent we could venture into the engine shed and there was a bunch of toys in a little area designed for kids which was fab. A lovely atmosphere in a cosy setting with fab food! We only tried on pizza night but saw the options on the other nights and all looked fab! The washing and toilet facilities were also great, I noticed the main block are due to be refurbished but are more than adequate in the meantime. We were pitched in front of the engine shed which meant we had 24 hour access to the pub toilets which were of pub toilet standard and lovely! There’s also a little kitchen area you can use if needs be and dog and welly wash. At night, everyone sticks to the ‘quiet time’ rules which was great - not a sound so we all got a fab sleep.
This is a really well managed, secure site and I could tell if there had been any issues the management would have been all over it. Someone came around at one point just to make us aware ball games were not allowed, which we understood, but the fact they pointed out the adjacent field had been organised for people to go in there was fab - no risk of anyone getting a ball in the caravan or tent window! For anyone with kids who like football it’s perfect ! Site is walking distance into Kirkby Stephen which had a few nice little shops including Spar and we also went to Appleby which was nice and explored the castle. We will deffinately be back here- just being able to chill while our little one was loving life on the lovely park would have been enough but the site gives so much more. Deffo book this if you’re thinking about it- you won’t regret!

I didn’t go on the river work but my other half did and he said it was lovely.
We also always have our food/drink delivered to save room in our car, Asda found the site really easy and we’re able to drive right up to our pitch.
It was due to rain quite heavily most of the weekend we went, but we committed to go and so glad we did, in the end we only had 1 bad day and we just took advantage of the engine shed, so if your tent is decent and can stand the rain, don’t let the weather put you off.

Really clean and friendly site. Large pitches and grounds immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful. The bar on site was good and well stocked. The toilet and cleaning facilities were spotless.

First night as motor owner absolutely love the sight could not fault it. Friendly and very helpful loved the bar and food will definitely stay again

Not one thing did I dislike

It was easy to get to .No windy road .It is a large family site so if you are not child friendly then this is not for you . I stayed 2 nights and though I probably will not stay again that is only my option. The campsite is well looked after and is clean .There.is a walk straight of the camp site .
