It's a lovely site and location for the lake and surounding scenery. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Ideal location for enjoying paddleboarding or kayaking on water.

Washing and toilet facilities were let down by people leaving them in a dirty state and not cleaning up after themselves. Need to be checked more often.
People not having respect for your pitch space by taking short cuts through your pitch.
Large pitch size was in my opinion a standard pitch. Caravan awning overlapped the raised timber edging, that devided the gravel and grass area making it a trip hazard.
Large family groups and dogs crammed in on one pitch next to you can be overwhelming.

Loved it here. It was beautiful and clean.
The grass was cut and lush and green, perfect size pitch.
I loved that the toilets and showers didn't close down each day at a certain time, they were always accessible.
Also the Short walk into town and to Bala lake was perfect

I wish the water to wash the dishes was a little warmer

The only slight negative was on our second to last night there was a big group of 35 (one of them told me there was that many of them) who were really loud playing music and shouting etc until past half 12

The next night they were alot quieter and the music couldnt be heard so they may have been told that the night before wasnt acceptable but it was such a contrast to the rest of our week as it had been so quiet and peaceful

What a fabulous site! Clean facilities, hot water, spacious pitches, which were all well maintained, and the staff were friendly and very helpful which was particularly useful as we were first time Campers. A great stay, thank you Pen Y Bont!

So popular we couldn't stay longer! :)

This site was immaculate!
We spent 11 days here and thoroughly enjoyed our trip!
The bathrooms were cleaned at least 3 times a day and were really nice, with good lighting.
The washing up area was always clean.
The pitches were clean and a good size.
The family and staff running the place were very friendly and helpful! Always happy to stop for a chat!
Excellent base for visiting waterfalls, beaches, white water rafting centre, Zip World, cycling (5 minutes to town with plenty of shops and restaurants/cafes).
Bala lake just 3 minutes walk from the tent!
5 minutes cycle to the beach with water sports for hire or permit holders (purchase from the machine). Also a cafe.
Bala railway also 3 minutes from the tent.
Plenty of walks and Snowdon of course.
We were prepared to drive an hour to destinations of interest and fun.
We also had a dog with us who also enjoyed her trip as, bar 2 restaurants, everywhere was dog friendly!
We were extremely lucky with the weather and didn’t have to resort to rainy days activities!
All in all I’d definitely recommend!

Facilities are really clean and new

The site is a bit too dense. There is no children playground or much green space for the children to play.

Second visit to this lovely site, just as good this time. Clean, quiet and well run, friendly, helpful staff and great facilities
