Nice small field, only 15 pitches (I think) which was nice.
Plenty room for cars to be parked at side of tent. Clean facilities, plenty sockets to charge phones ect.

Kids loved the play area and football goals

Wouldnt put me off coming back but we have a reactive dog, friendly but likes to bark with excitement. Owners dogs coming round the field at 9pm which resulted in my dog barking, waking the children and potentially annoying other campers. Thankfully no complaints because we kept him on lead and under control.
Also owners dogs pooping on field and not getting picked up

Facilities very clean and stock replenished. Plenty of space within pitch. Lots to do. The lady owner let my daughter help feed the runner ducks; she's still talking about it excitedly.

Excellent campsite with great facilities, all very clean and well laid out. Not too large or busy, perfect for small families! Phil was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Looking forward to staying again!

Everything. Lovely little camp site. Indoor room was great, especially having the fridge freezer. Loved all the animals, especially the site dogs.

Can’t believe i almost didn’t book this little gem because of some of the strange reviews.
Some mentioned the facilities but I can only assume these are out of date reviews because the facilities were the best I’ve ever seen with free, hot showers and spotless toilets.
This is the most thoughtfully designed site I’ve stayed on and so family friendly.
Some comments said the pitches were crammed but this is not true we had so much space and privacy but there are so few pitches that there’s a real sense of community. We spoke to everyone there who all offered tips and places to visit. Plus we all had a giggle and interacted at one point I got whooped in a game of guess who by one of the kids on the site.
Instead of cramming in a load of pitches the owners have retained loads of land for visitors to run around and experience nature. There are ducks and chickens and loads of other wildlife to observe.
This appeared to have been created with love rather than to make money.
If you enjoy nature, while still having a bit of luxury, the sound of children actually playing out and being kids and gorgeous scenery this is the site for you. If you are offended by grass, children and a chicken stay in a hotel.
The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and you got the impression they loved what they do.
We will 100% be back but for longer next time.

Absolutely nothing

We loved this site, small park for the kids where you can always see from your pitch facilities are lovely and the owners are lovely and so helpful! Added bonus you can buy freshly laid eggs on site

There was a park for all the kids, a games room which they loved and a small football pitch,also the kitchen facilities where great for everyone with our electric huck up as there was a kettle, microwave and fridge freezer.
The showers and toilets where very clean, you can also hire a firepit and a big tub of wood for only £8 which was a great price

It doesn't have the secure charging points that where advertised and we were told that the lending library that's advertised in the description was only for cottage visitors not campers and it was then locked up as we left it, the recreational field would be better if it was fully cut a nd not just where the football pitch is as well just to give more groups the chance to do games on there at the same time

Love that there are only 15 pitches at this site - our stay was quiet and relaxed and the excellent facilities were always available when needed. The camping field is well kept with large flat pitches and shelter around the field. Water taps were located close by and the bins were conveniently located but far enough away not to be stinky (even in a heatwave).

The toilet and shower facilities were outstanding - 3 all gender toilet cubicles with enough space if you’re accompanying a child, and plenty of handwashing basins. Also 2 large all gender shower cubicles - again spacious enough to help a child shower and get changed, clean and plenty of hot water. The washing up area had enough worktop space and hot water to wash up comfortably too. The barn the facilities are in is sheltered, clean and well lit - what was especially nice in the facilities block was the provision of plug points for charging or hairdryer (at no extra cost) and mirrors - also spotted an iron and ironing board.

The playground was a hit with our daughter, and the recreation field was great for ball games away from pitches. We didn’t use the communal area much - although looked like plenty of games available to borrow. I did appreciate the freezer to refreeze our ice packs as it was a very hot week!

Eggs and wood sold on site - with online payment accepted, which is super convenient.

Site owners were available, and checked on us a few times without being intrusive to our stay.

Nothing we disliked, just a caution - the owners dogs freely roam the site, not a problem at all for us as they are very friendly but might be a challenge if you have a reactive dog travelling with you.
