Brilliant campsite, the on-site bar, pizza oven and cafe were a great addition. Whilst we had a bbq so didn’t use the pizza over, it looked great and very popular. We had lunch in the cafe on our final day and the food was fantastic- they were very accommodating with the children too.
We really loved the campsite, a beautiful location and very well maintained. Lovely little private spaces overlooking the canal and with beautiful countryside views. My children loved watching the sheep and lambs in a nearby field.
The staff were very helpful especially the man who took all our camping luggage to our pitch and he even helped me pack away the tent.
Would definitely visit again.

We stayed in the Kingfisher Bell Tent and it was absolutely beautiful.

Arrival and check in was really easy as we had received all the information before we arrived. The staff were really friendly and offered to help us with moving our stuff from the car to the tent which I thought was a great touch.

The tent was lovely inside with everything you could need for a comfortable nights sleep including cushions, blankets, a thick duvet (which was brilliant as it was freezing at night!) and plenty of fairy lights which I loved! The tent also came with all of the cooking equipment you would need for a few nights away and a fire pit which was great for roasting marshmallows!

On our first night we went to the Jolly Boatman for a drink and the staff were lovely! Although we didn’t try the pizza on site, they smelt amazing!

The location of this campsite is great, and if you like walking there are plenty of great trails around.

We had such a relaxing few nights away and we cannot wait to return in the summer!

The only thing was a lack of Wi-Fi, however as we both had plenty of mobile data it didn’t affect us too much.

Really beautiful spot. Quiet and idyllic. Friendly staff. Spaced out pitches.

Lovely surroundings and views. I would definitely stay there again. Glamping tents looked good.

not a lot of showers and toilets but it wasnt a problem for me as site was very quiet. Could be a problem if busy, aspecially with marina people too. Facilities were good though.

Very quiet, clean and tidy site. Owner met us on arrival and explained how everything worked and where all amenities were located. Beautiful walks around the fields alongside the river.

The setup was amazing. I loved the way the pitches were cut out in the long grass which made it look a natural part of the landscape. The location was ideal. Being right next to the canal made it easy for us to get on and off our kayaks/paddleboards with ease.

Due to being reasonably close to the airport, there are a lot of planes flying overhead throughout the day.

Easy access to the Trent & Mersey for a paddle on any watercraft.
The Pizza's are lovely and tasty and cooked to order.

Wonderful place, very chilled out atmosphere. Lovely locals that lived on the marina that was happy to chat with us.
This is our second visit and can’t wait to go back .

We really enjoyed our stay. Wished we could have stayed longer but it was just a last minute stop over. Very quite with good facilities and walks nearby.

Lovely setting and very relaxed with a nice bar down by the canal. Facilities were great and a very warm welcome. We’ll be back again for another short stay
