Location was fantastic. Great scenery. Toilet and shower blocks ideal and cleaned regularly. Friendly staff.

Couldn't park next to electric hook up pitch bit annoying for unloading and loading the car.

The site is small, we had the field to ourselves as we went at the end of September. The site was clean especially the toilets despite the mud it was kept extremely clean. The pub onside was great, the food was delicious and the people were very friendly. Theres a little park in the pub garden too which the younger kids enjoyed. Wifi in the pub which was good for the older one. We loved the dog Ralph too!! A couple of other pubs a short walk away and honestly the locals were so friendly, we didn't come across one unwelcoming person which was nice, since we had a big dog with us, some people are afraid or give you funny looks (I have a staffie and people seem to be extra scared of those) but here, everyone gave him a stroke made conversation, it was a lovely place and we would defo return.

The only criticism would be something that is of absolutely no fault of the owners, and it's a risk you take when camping, but the road was quite loud at all hours of the night. However the people who run the site do provide you with ear plugs which was a bit of a life saver the first night, couldn't find them in my tent the second and I'd forgot to get more.

Lovely people great pub fantastic food

The only down side was they cut the grass and left the grass all over the field my tent is now full of grass

Checking in was a breeze. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Great having a pub on site which was reasonably priced and the food was good. It was the end of September so we had the field to ourselves.
Bathroom facilities were decent enough with hot showers.

The road noise. It’s not the one next to the site but the motorway at the top of the hill. It sounds like heavy traffic all night. Although there are free ear plugs in the pub. I recommend you use them.

The showers were great.
Toilets clean.
Great pub on site.
Would definitely return.

Staff friendly, beautiful dog, lovely warm shower, very lucky to have the camping field to our selfs, great location for two day trip to Alton towers. Good to have food on site if you dont fancy cooking.

Very honest review…
Unfortunately the field was very muddy due to this years weather.
If we had of had to share the field it would have been very cramped.
The steps to porta loo slippery when wet. The bathroom facilities were a porta loo and the smell of bleach was very over powering . I’d say 2star worthy for them.
The washing up facilities the hot tap is boiling and no cold water tap.
The noise of a night from the road is so loud… ear plugs are offered.

The host was very welcoming and friendly upgraded us to hard standing as weather had turned experienced our first amazing caravan holiday loved it ! Facilities were excellent and the food in the pub was amazing !

We both have no dislikes was amazing!
