The restaurant was fantastic for our 24th wedding anniversary.

The hum of something near the restaurant. We could hear it in the night.

Everything was excellent, from our greeting at reception, the facilities of the site, the food and drinks at the bar and the cleanliness of the facilities. This is truly a five star facility that we would definieltey highly recommend and will be back.

I really do not think that there is anything that we could put down that there is to dislike about this site. It is excellent.

The weather

This was our second visit. Clean site with amazing facilities. Since our last visit they now have a pizza hut. Staff very helpful & chatty.

We stayed here from the 13th - 18th august 2023. We was escorted to our pitch by Clive, very friendly man could not fault him. He was knowledgable of the area, and explained to us about the area and the possibility of seeing some otters.

The pitches are a good size and can fit a caravan, awning and car on with ease.

We stayed on the adult only side and it was very quiet.

Even though kids where on site it was still quiet. There is a park and crazy golf for children to enjoy.
Overall the site is very peaceful.

The toilet / shower block was of a high standard and clean with very good hot showers.

The are a few walks / bike rides which where nice to go and explore, with some lovely scenery.

Even though there is no fishing on site, a farmer across the road will let you fish on there daily for £10 for 2rods, they are very friendly and polite. You will need to drive there as it is a bit far to walk, however once there you can drive up to the ponds. There is 3 good sized fishing ponds. Remember it is a working farm so you will see / hear sheep and dogs.

Meadow springs is situated on the outskirts of two towns the closer one being 4miles away. These towns are very small with only a few shops. The biggest town is Newtown, but again only a small selection of shops. I would think like a high street.

We ate twice at Arthur’s bar, once in the bar and then once in the pods outside. Both times the food was amazing and the staff was again very friendly.

No fishing on site, but is apparently re stocking in autumn.

The red lion pub, didn’t serve food and was very unfriendly.

Loved every part of our stay. Absolutely beautiful site with lovely staff, extremely clean great sized pitches that fitted our converted minibus on with loads of room for our awning. We will be back again soon.

Water pressure in shower could be a little bit better, but that’s my opinion with having long hair girl problems haha!

Excellent site

The whole facility was excellent, firstly greeted by Clive who gave me the welcome pack, and informed me of all the facility's on site. The pitch was huge, on stone and nearly level. We had water, power, a grey waste drain and a tv plug in point at our pitch. The shower/toilet block was clean, bright and spacious. We were only to stay for one night but we had to stay for another as the site was so good. Clive was able to make this happen for us. There was a lovely walk down to the river for the dogs and a large fenced in off lead area for the dogs to run around in. We ate in the restaurant on both nights, again lovely food with a well stocked bar. Every one of the staff were so friendly. Access through the site is all on tarmac roads. Handy to use waste area for rubbish, a drive over grey water waste dump area and an elsan waste point, even had a dog wash shed with a proper dog washing facility. There were outdoor dining areas and some pods to have you dinner in so you could also have your dogs with you. The site is going to expand with a swimming pool very soon. All in all a great 2 day in an wonderful place, well worth a visit.

Nothing bad to say, should have stayed longer, we will be back again.
