Other sites we have been to have always got smilies on there faces and always nice to talk to as where we felt really off no one spoke to each other and there was a lot of negative vibes including people looking each other up and down …

We thought the site was a little run down there was a lot of washing up empty bottles and DIRTY sponges all over the grass by the washing up sinks … we noticed a few rats in the trees trying to eat the rubbish that people had left all over the grass …

A person out of or party group had twisted there ankle on the grass as there a lot do deep holes in the grass that are covered with grass and you can’t see so a trip to a&e with that person on the way home as there ankle was like a football due to falling in a hole in the grass that we couldn’t see because of it being so pitch black at night would be good for some tlc on the site including lighting and somewhere and somthingo for the kids to do rather then being allowed to play football and booting the ball at peoples caravans

I think the site could do with a updated and a good deep clean and maybe update your rules because it sates NO FIRES but when visiting the shop it advised you can hire a fire pit from you in the shop for £20 deposit and £20 to hire even though it states no fires in the rules

We really liked the lakes & general look of the place. Staff all friendly & toilet blocks & wash area kept clean. On the Friday night, a member of staff was driving round to tell everyone about a little get together down at the cafe/bar with a stone-baked pizza stall there too. We popped down & really enjoyed it… the pizza was amazing! Used the cafe for lunch on the Saturday & the food was very reasonably priced! Checking in process really simple & if you have forgotten anything, there is a large selection of products available in the reception shop (e.g. food, drinks, medicine, toothpaste, cleaning products etc). A great place to go for our first ever time camping with the children & really good value for money. I’m not sure if they had WiFi in cafe but we naturally didn’t have any on the camping field so can’t rate that.

There wasn't much for young children to do. There are some football posts & a large field near the campsite to play on & I do appreciate this campsite is primarily for fishing weekends, but I think it would be improved that tiny bit more by having some swings/climbing frames etc. Is located next to a road so if you camp along the bushes you can hear cars going past throughout the night & can hear a dual carriageway that is nearby in the distance, so if you’re a light sleeper this may affect you. (It didn’t bother us or our small kids one bit but just worth a mention).

Horrable Campsite! Toilets and shower rooms were Very Dirty, right next to the motorway. Nothing for children to play. We booked 3 nights, but left after one immediately.

Mel at the reception was brilliant, she was very helpful and offered options when the cafe was closed. Other staff members were helpful too.

Clean facilities and near to where we pitched our tent. Lots of room for kids to run around and play. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the games room but that was our call.

I think the cafe isn't open throughout the week but then staff are readily available to offer options as there are other cafes nearby.

Really busy with all the fishing competitions which fills up all the good lakes.

Lovely site, nice shop and tackle shop, very peaceful at times.

The toilet block was unusable as all toilets were blocked - there didn't seem to be many staff around either to report this too.

It seemed to be quite cramped, maybe because it was Bank Holiday.

I absolutely hate the false advertisment here !!!! Do not believe that this campsite its family ! There were saying that play area and of course you will see here the photos DONT believe ! The play area its private no access my children were absoluetly bored !!! Watching a playground closed. Its fuming when i reported about advert and of course they said " sorry we didnt know" i mean how can you not know !! If you have bookings throught page they are features visible so please stop lying customers !! Furthermore toilets should be cleaned refularly lots of spiders children were scared to go, i mean seriously ?! Absolutely would never go there stopy lying advert and change that there is NO playgrqound,fraud !
