I don't normally leave reviews but thought I should, as the owners of Maes Tywyn had gone to the most effort I've seen to make sure that they provided everything that you could possibly need - as seasoned campers we had bought all we needed with us but if we wanted it there was a kettle, microwave, charging point, fire pits, washing up equipment, maps etc etc.

Lovely and friendly introduction from site owners who were always around to answer questions.
Beautiful location with views of Snowdonia.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this friendly, sheltered, well maintained and good value for money campsite. Good and clean facilities

Friendly welcome and warm communication; area with device charging points, microwave, freezer, fridges, kettle, games to borrow, sink - some nicely thought out features here; play area was nice, plus it was away from the sleeping area; covered washing up area; can see Snowdonia from the end of the field; fire pits allowed (and available to borrow).

Toilet/shower block, although new, needs some thought: There's not really enough toilets and showers for the number of people on site and there's not enough space, e.g shelves not big enough to balance a toiletry bag; can be awkward, esp as a unisex space, having to weave in and out of each other whilst trying to wash or use a toilet or come out of a shower; not a lot of space in toilet or shower cubicles. The block is also not an easy building to keep clean - floors were regularly swept, sinks wiped and bins emptied, but it still didn't feel really clean.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Great facilities and a great location. We’ll be back next year for another visit. Thankyou.

Love the area and the facilities on the campsite. Perfect for a family including a park, kitchen area with fridge / freezer, kettle, microwave and charging facilities, as well as a seperate washing up area.

Shower area and toilets were visibly dirty and not cleaned throughout our stay.

Second time at this campsite and we had another lovely stay, the owners are just lovely and there is an all round friendly vibe. The addition of the little campers kitchen with a kettle, microwave, fridges and freezers is very welcome, we arrived in the rain on a Sunday and I knew I would be able to warm up a meal without having to get the stove out. The pitches are spacious and the showers and toilets are clean, there is plenty of hot water for washing up too. Devices can be charged in the multiple usb ports in the campers kitchen and there are also games and books there. Free fire pits are available and the kids playground was a hit with my 7 year old, it’s also in a great location for exploring and the walk to the beach is lovely.

I liked that the children in all the tents made friends instant everyone could play and not a single ipad insight. A family couldn't thank all the other parents enough for how kind the kids made her disabled son feel so welcome

The manager does not like children at all very stern scared my children by shouting at them that they need to leave the park they must go as they were unsupervised although the park is in clear view from all pitches and areas of camp without coming to speak to myself and the children were behaving just having fun. So nobody understood what the problem was. My children were so anxious on where this woman was even if they could go to the toilet. Not a nice campsite at all. Never have we had a bad experience camping with the children before they had more fun inside the tent in the rain. DO NOT USE THIS CAMP SITE manager vile to children, dirty showers toilets rushed to pack away morning before check out time very rude owners

Lovely small, family friendly campsite. It’s quiet which suited our family perfectly and the playground kept the children happy.

Shared unisex bathroom and toilets were a bit crowded at times but they were always very clean and well stocked with loo roll.
