We enjoyed our short stay on Maes Tywyn Campsite. It's in a lovely location and we were warmed received by the site manager (or owner). Their genuine enthusiasm for ensuring guests had a memorable experience was palpable. Every query we had was met with a friendly response, and they offered recommendations for local things to do.
However, every paradise has its little quirks. In the case of Maes Tywyn Campsite, it was the persistent cockerel that seemed to have set its internal clock a tad early. From 5am, its crowing served as an unsolicited wake-up call, disturbing the tranquil mornings we'd envisioned. If you're a light sleeper, this might pose a slight challenge.
That said, the cockerel's morning serenade aside, Maes Tywyn Campsite offers an almost perfect camping experience. For those seeking a retreat into nature, coupled with exceptional hospitality, this campsite is hard to beat. Just remember to pack some earplugs or embrace the natural alarm clock!

Не понравилось: Rules- kids asked to leave playground around 9pm. All reasonable but not been written or told to parents. Quiet time from 11pm to 8am- perfect but second night rude neighbour told us off due to fun we have while getting ready to head off at 10:30pm as person decide to have tents wall to wall to have more freedom from other side.
Thanks for your great review and feedback you've provided. In response to the points you raised where you could have been happier, we can offer the following. We know that there aren't many people who are great fans of rules. They are however, only in place to try and strike the difficult balance of being fair to all and to try and keep all campers happy. There are 2 fairly prominent signs in the play area. One states that all children should be adequately supervised and the other that the play area closes at 9.00pm, or dusk, whichever occurs first. Children playing are, by their very nature, noisy, which we feel is only natural. We do have neighbours and, as previously alluded to, lots of other campers to consider. We therefore feel that the time we have put in place to close the play area for the day gives due consideration to all. We hope this feedback is useful.

We've spoken to our neighbours feathered friend, Colin the Cockerel, and as could be expected from a bird with such serious attitude, he takes not one jot of notice to our pleas for a later start to his morning crowing! I'm afraid under these circumstances, the best we can offer is an apology.
